Don and Doug, the owners, are welcoming and their lovely home sets a high bench mark for any B & B. Impeccably furnished with high attention to detail, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds and all amenities. Beautiful garden. A delicious breakfast. In fact the perfect place and highly recommended. What more can I say.

Room Tip: We had the ground floor room which was easily accessible to dining room, morning coffee bar but ther...

Perfect! From the yummy cookies to the tasteful complimentary cocktails, fabulous breakfasts and super comfortable beds, everything about our stay at Oak Hill was great. Don and Doug are really good at what they do. Take their advice on where to eat and visit while in Natchez. Lovely home, great hosts. We will definitely be back!

Prior to our post Thanksgiving get-a-way, I searched the internet to find the quintessential B&B in historic Natchez...and so it was!! Oak Hill is absolutely stunning! Doug welcomed us with delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies and an equally delicious Mint Julep (my choice)...wine, champagne, or non-alcoholic beverages were also available. Our room on the first floor was fit for royalty...elegantly furnished with sumptuous bed linens and a mattress and pillows to die for!! A small refrigerator enclosed in a closet contained bottled water and diet and non-diet sodas!
Breakfast was outstanding...everything delicious from perfect eggs benedict, fresh fruit, homemade biscuits and muffins and the piece de resistance French toast (not your ordinary French toast!). The table is elegantly set with beautiful crystal stemware, flatware and china. A different breakfast is planned for 12 days...only wish we could have stayed longer!! Doug and Don are wonderful hosts and it didn't take us long to feel like we've always been friends. We were given a map of the area, suggestions where to dine and their favorite historic homes to visit. Prior to leaving, Doug gave us a tour of the home giving historical information on many of the lovely antique furnishings and artifacts. Our hosts thought of everything to make our stay memorable and perfect and it was! Thank you Doug and Don for welcoming us into your beautiful home. We can't wait to return! Joyce and Jeff

What more can we say that has not already been said about this wonderful B&B and its hosts, Doug and Don?

We arrived in Natchez during the 2013 Fall Pilgrimage and were very fortunate that Oak Hill had rung through to the visitor center with a cancellation just before we inquired about accommodation for the night. We jumped at the chance to stay in an antebellum house and could not believe our luck when we got to see our downstairs room – wow.

Next morning over a wonderful breakfast, Doug informed us that we would not be able to visit the Vicksburg War Memorial as planned due to the government shutdown! But then he quickly added that another last minute cancellation meant that our room was suddenly available that night – we did not need to think twice before seizing the opportunity to stay another night and enjoy another mint julep, another great night’s sleep (in a truly amazing room), and another fabulous breakfast.

Thank you Doug and Don for your hospitality and for allowing us to experience a really lovely home and genuine southern hospitality.

My husband and I took a long awaited trip to Natchez to enjoy the antebellum homes and the scenic "town on the bluffs" after many years of promising ourselves we'd visit at some point. As the family travel planner, I searched numerous websites and finally settled on Oak Hill Inn - it looked like it would be both picturesque and have the types of amenities we enjoy when travelling. Making the reservation was simple - Doug replied to my e mail inquiry promptly and confirmed us for the queen room on the first floor. We had flight delays that made us later than expected, and our hosts took it all in stride, in spite of their posted "arrive by" time on the website. The home was easy to find and well located with respect to all the sights we wanted to see. The house was absolutely beautiful (c. 1835) and the amenities were all we had hoped for. From the period furnishings to the spectacular breakfasts to the crisp linens on our half tester bed, to the beautifully landscaped back garden, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Our hosts provided tips for touring and maps and brochures, and had cookies and a drink waiting for us when we got back in the evening. Guests had the choice of enjoying the back patio with a lovely fountain, the classic southern front porch with wooden rockers, or a well stocked library if the outdoors wasn't your cup of tea. There was even private off street parking right behind the house. We enjoyed the premises, our hosts and the food - I'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is planning to be in the Natchez area!

Room Tip: If you like lots of space, choose the downstairs. If you're travelling with several in your par...

We spent a couple of days with Doug and Don, owners of the Historic Oak Hill. It was fantastic!!! The room was fantastic and the breakfasts were beyond words. Not just your ordinary scrambled eggs. They went full out with eggs Benedict, French toast, fresh fruit, etc.

The ambiance of this historic home and grounds, not to mention the great personalities of the hosts make this a place to visit. Having just 3 rooms means you get a lot of personal attention. Did I mention drinking the mint julets Don made and brought us to drink around the wonderful water fountain in the brick patio in the backyard??? You have got to try this B&B when you visit Natchez, MS!

Room Tip: Ask for the 1st floor room - it is nearest the beautiful backyard!

My sisters and I stayed at the historic Oak Hill Inn and our stay was amazing!! Our hosts were so incredible from the complimentary "happy hour" to the most "delicious" breakfast the next morning!!
Doug helped us with any questions we had on Natchez and gave us a tour of his home that I will
never forget. We slept so good that night in our comfy beds in our beautiful rooms. We did not want to leave the next morning!
My sisters and I agreed that of the years we have been traveling that Oak Hill was our best experience!
I will return but will stay longer next time!!
