“Outstanding B & B”

This is a beautiful antibellum house which has been restored to perfection. The hosts go out of their way to make sure your every need is met. The breakfast is the best we've had in a B&B (and we have been to many). All in all a fabulous getaway.

We stayed here one night. It's a charming old house that has been lovingly restored by the owners in the past decade or so. Both inside and out are really nice. The place is spotlessly clean and full of warmth. The couple that runs the place (Doug & Don) were born to run a B&B; they do everything right, from the time you enter until you leave you feel like they really cared that you came to stay. For example, when you arrive they help you carry your bags up to the room and they offer a complimentary glass of wine or any other beverage. They also have a small cooler in the entry hall fill with bottles of water and soft drinks for free. This is such a simple and inexpensive touch that I'm not sure why all B&B's don't do this. I mean, hell, it only costs a couple bucks for them but it means so much to the guest. The breakfast is the star of the show, though. One of them really knows how to cook!! It's just about as good as you'll get anywhere, hot and mighty flavorful. We highly recommend and we'll certainly go back if we ever find ourselves in Natchez! One note: this place gets billed as the #1 B&B in the USA and #3 in the world. I wouldn't go that far but I would put it in my top 25 in the USA and top 150 in the world. And when you get that high on the leaderboard it really doesn't matter, does it? It's ALL good:)

I would highly recommend the Oak Hill Inn! The house and grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast and mint juleps are delicious. The location is perfect! The Inn is on a dead end street that is peaceful and quiet yet so close to everything in downtown Natchez. Doug and Don were great hosts. We really enjoyed our weekend at Oak Hill and can't wait to return!

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at the Historic Oak Hill Inn. What a pleasure it was to stay in an authentic Anti-Bellum house complete with period furnishings and grand southern hospitality. Our hosts were charming, helpful and we're excellent cooks. Breakfast was a culinary delight and the evening cocktails a wonderful touch. Wine glasses were huge and filled to the brim. Natchez is a town which has retained the charm and historic qualities of times gone by. I would recommend a visit to Natchez and complete the visit with a stay at this relaxing beautiful house with perfect hosts. Just one more point ... The beds..... Best sleep away from home in a long time... So comfortable.

Beautiful house, great chocolate cookies, wonderful mint juleps, incredible breakfasts which make even the thought of lunch impossible: add two gracious and knowledgable hosts who will do all they can to make your stay perfect - that is Oak Hill. What more could anyone want?

My boyfriend and I stayed here in March 2014, for one night as part of our USA road trip. The beauty and character of the house met our expectations (we had read a lot of outstanding reviews online and seen the recent award they won!). The mint juleps were delicious as were the cookies. A very nice touch upon arrival.
We had the main suite which was so luxurious, comfortable and decadent. We had everything we needed.
Our hosts recommended a mid-range restaurant for us and booked a table which was kind although it was quite a high-end restaurant by our standards! The food was nice but it was possibly not quite what were looking for. I believe it was called the Castle and was part of a massive historic house up the road.
Breakfast was delicious. Eggs benedict was a highlight and fresh fruit was great.
The only minor criticism is that we felt it was perhaps a little too formal. This is merely a personal opinion though and others may like the grandeur of the house more than us.
