If they have room for you (they have only 11 rooms!), Manoir Becancour is well worth a stay. It's a historic building with a lovely garden. The rooms have names rather than numbers, and the amenities are fully modern--I even had a printer in my room, in addition to free wi-fi. The front desk staff (who are also the restaurant/bar servers) are most helpful, in either French or English. The dinner there was absolutely superb--I highly recommend the lamb, and be sure to have their Bagatelle (a version of trifle with dark chocolate cake) for dessert.

We stayed for one night in The Manoir. The manoir has well and contemporary decorated rooms. We had the 'Jazz' room, which was nicely decorated with a 'Jazz' theme. The room provided a fridge, coffee maker, flatscreen TV with a playstation PS3 (if you like that) etc. The bed was one of the best I ever slept in. Bathroom was good, with a small tub/shower combi. The manoir offers also a gourmet restaurant which (I'm sure) must be one of the best in a 100 km radius. The chef is Italian and you can taste and see that in the presentation and quality of the food. The whole experience is more European than 'American' (decor, service, presentation, timing between courses etc.). I highly recommend the manor for a romantic weekend. One small thing; breakfast was ok for me, but I can imagine some comments (no eggs, only a small bread selection).

Cozy Inn, well off the beaten path, with an old world charm and modern world comforts, like WiFi and free long distance calls all over Canada and the US. Exquisite food, even for high Quebec standards. Service was absolutely impeccable. I honestly can not say enough good things about our stay. We just spent there two nights, and we are so glad we did. We had a seminar in a huge Auberge Godefroy, about 13 km away, but all the rooms were already booked. I would have never discovered Manoir Becancourt but for that fluke!

We needed to be in Trois Rivieres for work and were looking for accommodation in the area. We ended up staying at Manior Becancourt and were very impressed with our stay. Our room was large and well equipped and above all for me, very clean. Staff were lovely and completely bi-lingual and breakfast, although small, was good quality and included everything that we needed. Next time we need to be in Trios Rivieres I am excited to try the in house restaurant.

I visited Trois-Rivieres for a business trip in may 2013, I always have the habit of looking for hotels on TripAdvisor that have the best quality/price ratio. In Trois-Rivieres, hotels seemed a bit expensive and not of the best quality. I discovered while searching a bit outside the city this magnificient bed and breakfast!

Welcoming
As soon as I entered the hous-like building, I was served by a very welcoming hostess. She brought me to the door of my room!

Rooms
Rooms are very spacious, and have individual themes. Mine was ''black and white'', and the door name (not number) was even ''b & w''. It is very well decorated, with a a large queen size bed, garnished with a lot of sheets. It also had a small sofa, a large flat screen TV, a very nice mirror...and a very spacious bathroom, with rain shower and a separate bath, like those found in Europe.
Rooms are not very insonorized, one can easily hear other people in their rooms.

Dining
The dining area is ''everywhere'', as in you can found tables at the reception, in the garden, and also a large dining room. I did not have supper there, but the restaurant was full at that time.
The breakfast is indeed very good: good quality cold cuts, three variety of cheeses, good bread, cereal, fresh fruits, excellent coffee and juices. Breakfast is served in the reception area, and it's very sunny in the morning, with jazz music...simply fantastic!

Location
15 minutes from downtown Trois-Rivieres, off the higway 30. It is not on the main road that links Montreal and Quebec, but it's absolutely worth the 5 minute detour. In a very calm area.

Manoir Becancour in 5 points
1. Very welcoming staff
2. Original rooms
3. Rooms are not very insonorised
4. Excellent breakfast in a magical atmosphere
5. Off course from main roads but still close to Trois-Rivieres

If you are looking for something different than the prefab hotels this is great little place. Lots of character, lots of space, clean and really friendly staff. The bathroom was huge and charming. I loved it there and would go back. The bed was a bit too soft for me otherwise, really good overall.

Room Tip: I found that it was a very quiet setting so no noise where I was.

From the moment you walk in and are warmly welcomed into this charming inn, to the last moment when staff members bid you farewell, you know you will be well taken care of. The inn is a strangely (but charmingly) organised old house, with dining, treatment and workout areas on the main floor and small but comfortable and well thought-out rooms above. The amenities (robes, shampoos, etc.) are first class, the rooms have been renovated recently and the bed is comfortable. We were in the smallest room and it was adequate, with places to put clothing and belongings without crowding. We visited in the winter, with a dusting of snow on the ground. Bring slippers to get to the outside hot tub--you are not only walking through the lounge/dining area (about which we were warned) but you have to walk outside on snow remnants if that is your season. Being outside in a hottub when it is COLD is wonderful and we had a clear night to treat us to a star show.

In the morning, we were shown to a table by the window to enjoy our breakfast, a comely buffet that had very good quality everything (smoked salmon, wonderful cheeses, fruit, etc.) except breadstuffs. Strangely for the quality of this lovely inn, they were serving very ordinary bread (and I am being kind here) and some pretty pathetic-looking croissants. That and the fact that our table was RIGHT outside a massage room where someone was having a massage (while listening to our brilliant conversation?) are the only minor negatives, but they did little to undermine the overall charm of this romantic inn.

Next time, I will stay for dinner!

Dear Guest,
We thank you very much for your review!
We have instructed our chef to produce some home made bread and brioche in order to improve on the bread issue.
Once again thank you for the comment and we hope to see you again soon!
