Description: Executive Chef Tylun Pang leads the culinary masterpiece of Kō, the only fine dining restaurant on Maui to offer cuisine inspired by Maui’s sugarcane plantation era. Located at The Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, Kō features island family recipes and includes farm-fresh Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, Korean, and Japanese menu items with a contemporary twist.

I was definitely disappointed. It was our first day at the Kea Lani and we had high hopes for this place. I'm not sure what all the rave reviews are about. The service was so slow and it wasn't even crowded. The food was lacking in flavor and need more seasoning. We were going to schedule a Twilight Dinner for our anniversary, but once we realized it was catered by Ko, we decided to do something else.

Aloha. We’re so sorry that your recent dinner at Kō failed to impress. We strive to be anything but mediocre and apologize that you left disappointed. In the future, please be sure to reach out to a Kō manager so they can do their best to offer other options. We truly hope you will give Kō another chance in the future. Mahalo for your review and best wishes.

Delicious Hawaiian version of well-known dishes like paella, Japanese buckwheat noodles and many more...Ness, the bartender makes the best Mai Tai on the island!

If you would like to have a delicious meal while watching the sunset and be served by experienced friendly servers than this is the place for you. We stayed at the Kea Lani for 9 nights and had 3 dinners at Ko, it was so good we kept coming back. The ahi appetizer - which you sear on a hot stone is a must. I had the Grilled Lamb Chops, Lobster Tempura and Lavender Honey Macadamia Nut Shrimp entrees. All 3 were excellent, served with a great presentation. And don't forget to try one of their tropical drinks with dinner, I had something different each night and enjoyed them all. Finish with dessert - The Crème Brulee was my favorite. The temperature in the evening in the open air restaurant was ideal - Thank you to the entire staff at Ko!

We have been to the south Maui area 9 out of the last 10 summers. We had to get to KO twice this visit. The food is wonderful. The atmosphere is beautiful, and Andrew gave us the best service both nights. All meals are served with the "bridge" of dips and assorted breads. We had the fresh fish and the lamb. Both dishes were prepared perfectly both nights. We will definitely be back. Hopefully Andrew will be working.

Aloha and thank you for dining at Kō twice during your Maui vacation! We’re thrilled that you enjoyed Kō's plantation-era inspired cuisine and that Andrew contributed to making your experience so memorable. Please be assured that your wonderful comments will be passed on to Executive Chef Tylun Pang and Andrew. We look forward to welcoming you back next time. Aloha and best wishes.

We don't usually go to the hotel restaurants because they tend to be very expensive, but we splurged for our anniversary, only to wish we hadn't. First, we had a hard time finding anything that interested us on the menu, which is unusual. Usually I find 2 or 3 things that I have to choose from, but this time, I could barely find 1. My husband felt the same. When the food came, it was only okay. Nothing special. The service though was awesome! Great, friendly waithelp and reservations staff. And, the dessert was awesome. Will we go back- for dessert definitely, but we would skip the entrees.

Aloha and thank you for your review. While we are very pleased you enjoyed the high level of service, we're truly sorry there was nothing on our large menu to suit your personal tastes. We sincerely hope you will give the restaurant another chance in the future. Best wishes!
