As local residents, we usually steer clear of hotel restaurants as they are generally overpriced and offer standard (boring) menus. In the case of Ko, we've been missing out! Wish we discovered this Kama'aina-friendly restaurant earlier. In addition to the Kama'aina specials, we found the staff to be full of Aloha. Nick at the bar was wonderful during happy hour. Caipiroska cocktail was so good, I had to have two! We enjoyed the lumpia and the oishi sushi before moving into the restaurant for dinner service. Kama'aina sit on the high-tops to take advantage of the discount, which was fine. Dress casually as it is an open air restaurant and it gets very warm. The only thing we didn't enjoy about dinner was the fact that the sun was beating down on us. Though we will definitely be back, our next reservation will be just after sunset so we can be more comfortable. Recommend you dine when it is cooler. The bread service is fabulously creative. Lamb chop (as mentioned by others) was outstanding. Servings, including the pork chop entree, were extremely generous. Had the Ohana dessert so we could sample more than one. Favorite was the chocolate baked custard. We appreciated our server Corinne who was very efficient and the very warm and friendly bushelp Randy. Manager Tom also checked in on our table which was nice. It is definitely not an inexpensive meal, but one that is definitely worth it. Mahalo Ko for taking care of the Kama'aina.
