We were married on the north end of this mostly locals beach at sunset. It wasn't crowded, and we had that part of the beach to ourselves. The lava rock and greenery in the background made for gorgeous pictures and a beautiful video!!

A secluded, scenic beach. We got married at the end with the black rocks at the water's edge. Other beach visitors were very respectful of our little beach ceremony. I would definitely choose that beach again if I had to do it over again. Also, a beautiful and quiet place to relax.

We had 70 of our guests here for a BBQ picnic and it was amazing. We had the food catered and picked up. We claimed space early and everyone had a blast. The beach offers low waves most of the time and it's a great place for snorkeling, laying out, horse shoes, walking and lots of other things. We frequent this beach often and plan to continue. Love it here!

I had an absolutely wonderful snorkeling experience off this beach where I observed two very large green sea turtles. No showers at this beach.

Our family just returned from Maui and while out driving we stumbled upon Palau'ea Beach. It was easily our favorite even without amenities (it does have a very clean port-a-potty). It was never busy and had good boogie boarding waves, was easy to swim in and the beach was amazing. All of our kids (10-16 yrs) loved this beach. It's a short (very) walk fom where you park, so its easy to carry your own beach chair and umbrella. We didn't snorkel, but it must be good as lots of tours stop at the south reef and snorkel there. You could easily rent equipment fom Boss Frog's and save yourself a ton of money.
