“Great, fun, warm place”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

We enjoyed this restaurant, we arrived and were seated quickly, as we had a reservation, although people without a reservation had to wait some time. The atmosphere was more of a casual, fun sports bar vibe. The food was not cheap, although we did enjoy it. I had a pizza, and hubby had pork tacos, which were a bit too spicy. We also had wings which were yummy. A fun experience, would dine here again.

“Boring with a commercial feel”
Reviewed 15 June 2014 via mobile

I felt like I was at an American family chain restaurant. The waitstaff was very nice, but I can safely say that the hope for a special meal is lost as soon as you're handed one of those impersonal bright red LED/vibrating devices. The food was standard American fare with a Hawaiian twist. If you have to eat here, order an overpriced pizza. The cocktails aren't bad!

“Great exprience”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

Really enjoyed everything about the Monkeypod Kitchen. Great variety of food on the menu will please everyone. The Poke Tacos were excellent as was my fresh fish special of the day. The wine list was also very good. This is a busy place with live music and a great vibe. Excellent service as well.

“Sissy Dinner”
Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

Business trip with family. Hubby and attended gala one evening so concierge made reservation for daughters at Monkeypod. One daughter is vegetarian and neither eat much fish so they can be hard to please! They said it was amazing and have not stopped raving about the pumpkin ravioli's. They also recommend the mixed green salad with goat cheese, kale salad and garlic fries. Service was good and waitress made good cocktail recommendations. A bit loud but good place for families with kids.

“A little disappointed”
Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

This was definitely the bottom of our dining experiences ( maybe we were spoilt elsewhere). Dinner for four( women ). We were looking forward to dining here based on reviews, however found it lacking in many areas. On arrival staff were quite unfriendly ( the only time in our entire two week trip to encounter such staff). Our server seemed preoccupied. The atmosphere was lacking and cleanliness was below par. Most meals were below average - the only redeeming feature was the fish taco. We left quite early ( without dessert to avoid further disappointments ) would not return or recommend sorry when there are so many other amazing food choices
