“When it comes to beaches, this one is top notch”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

What we love the most about this beach area is that there is ample room, and the ocean has a smooth sandy floor. How often are you in the ocean and step on rocks, or debris, or slimy substances? Not here. Sand bottoms for a long way out into the ocean. No need for water shoes in this beach! LOVED it here. The beach is right in front of the Grand Wailea, but accessible from the Wailea Beach Marriott, or the Four Seasons as well. Remember this ... beaches are PUBLIC PROPERTY. You don't have to be staying at any hotel to enjoy this wonderful resource.

“One of the top beaches in America”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

Some magazines have rated this beach as one of the top beaches in America and after going to it I can see why. The sand is soft, the water is clear, warm and pretty calm. There is free public parking and a public restroom at this beach. The Grand Wailea sits behind this beach and you can walk around it if you'd like. When facing the ocean, the left side has some decent boogie boarding waves. If you swim further out along the left side there is some really good snorkeling. We saw quite a few turtles in this area. This is a great beach to spend a day at.

“Pretty beach with nice sand”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

The Wailea beach is really pretty and had nice sand! The waves were fun to play in. I learnt how to surf here but there wasnt alot of waves to surf on. We stayed at Grand Wailea which was attached to the Wailea Beach, we got to chill on the beach for 2 days. There weren't alot of excursions and activities to do there though.

“Beautiful & peaceful”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

The sand is great, the water is clear to only slightly murky and the waves are very small and easy to swim in. Great for paddle boarding too!

“Great Beach if you don't mind the crowds”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

Yes, this is a fantastic beach with lots of sand, clear waters, lots of beach activities. But if you don't like crowds, you might want to pass on this one. We prefer Keawakapu beach just north of there.
