“Great Resort”

Suites are perfect if you have kids/teens, even if you don't; nice to have lots of room. Grounds are big and beautiful, but not overwhelming. Was able to see view of room at check in and we ended up upgrading to oceanfront, which was fabulous. Beautiful area of Maui and close to Haleakala and Road to Hana.

Just spent 7 nights with my husband and toe kids, ages 10 and 11. This resort is made for families. First of all, I sent my kids to Keiki Lani (kids club) one morning just so I could get a massage but then they were begging me to go back! They got very attached to Brandy and wanted to go back for more fun adventures!
Second of all, they have the most amazing food allergy program. My son has celiac disease so he can't eat gluten. I notified the hotel before our arrival and he was registered in he kitchen. No matter where we ordered food on the resort, he could order whatever he wanted and his food was made in the main kitchen in a non-contaminated facility. If he wanted fries, they would use non-contaminated oil. They had GF breads, pastries, pizza, you name it. The operation was very impressive and it made our lives so easy. They should really make this feature better known because if you have a food allergy, this service will make your vacation stress-free.
The resort is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and the service is great. Can't beat the location, pools are great, beach is lovely.

Just got back from a week long stay. Unbelievable hotel. Would go back in a heart beat. The friendliness of the staff is what stood out, especially the ladies at the concierge. Property is also hard to beat.

Room Tip: Ocean view is a must. Wouldn't been the same facing the mountain,

We stayed at this property for a week, and had a lovely time. The service we received was above-and-beyond, and consistent throughout the resort. The pool and water slide were fantastic. Hands down, the best cabana service we have ever had. It is worth it to spend a little bit, and get a cabana if you can. With the beautiful Maui beach steps away I still couldn't keep my kids out of the pool. The slide kept them (and my husband) busy for the entire trip. The rooms were nicely decorated, however, we did have a problem with ants in our room, which made keeping food in the room impossible. We just can't say enough about how great the service at this property was.

The Fairmont Kea Lani made our 1st Wedding Anniversary extra special! We felt very pampered by the entire hotel staff! The concierge desk is extremely helpful! Our suite was fantastic. . . the nicest hotel room we've ever experienced! The grounds are beautiful and extremely well kept! When returning to Maui ( hopefully next year) we will definitely stay at the Fairmont again!

By total accident, due to a conference location, my family first stayed at the Kea Lani in January 2013. We decided to go back in 2014. This is such an amazing property that I just made reservations for January 2015!!!! We are super excited. I don't even want to try other hotels in Maui. All the suites are amazing, clean and spacious. Ideal for a family of four or larger. Food is great. Pools are invigorating and staff is super nice and helpful.
The Kea Lani is Maui to us!

We were staying elsewhere on Maui, i.e. we were not guests at this hotel. However, we visited adjacent Polo Beach on Monday July 21, in the morning, to do some snorkeling, and one of our party unfortunately hurt both feet via contact with a sea urchin or anemone. The barbs were numerous and painful and she was very upset. I decided to take her to a clinic and was escorting her off the beach when I saw the beach rentals kiosk on the Fairmont property, close to the Polo Beach exit stairs. We attended the shack and requested advice from the attendants there. One attendant, Paul, after hearing our account and knowing we were not hotel guests, nevertheless made efforts to calm and reassure my stricken companion. Other customers witnessing our exchange interjected ominous statements e.g. she should be taken to hospital, may require surgery, etc. but Paul dismissed all that and simply prescribed a vinegar wash, bathing the feet in a hot tub, and a week or two of time to allow the barbs to work themselves free without the use of tweezers. This proved to be very sensible advice. He asked us to wait and sent for a small cup of vinegar which he gave us to take away. My companion said how relieved she felt. By the time we departed from Maui a week later, she was doing much better and was walking comfortably. Paul’s intervention was an astounding example of customer service. As we left and were thanking him, I added that he is a gentleman and a scholar. Fairmont is doing well by employing staff like him. With an attitude like his, he will go far, and Fairmont will as well.
