In the small but beautiful Mindo, there is a gem called the beehive. You can't miss it, coming over the bridge into town it's on the right. We visited this place 2-3 times a day over a 4 day period. The couple that run it our very friendly and open. It has a great atmosphere with views of the river one end, they do home made honey, simply fabulous! We had a meal there a platter for two beautiful with loads of variety. The couple speak many languages. Give then a visit! You will love it!

There was a guy sitting exactly in the same chair you sat in the days you came and he had 2 double espresso in a row. Looks like you got challenged. Glad you like being with us and in Mindo. Thank you!

The first adventure of the bee tour was the beekeeper uniform, including gloves and head! Haha, it was fun to wear it! After this prepartion we went with a small group to the bee hives in town. We were realy part of this mission: we all got some tools in our hands and we hold the frames with the bees so we got a close look to their habitait.
We were very lucky: we put some queen bees in different bee hives. An unforgettable adventure!
The food and coffee we orderd afterwards was delicious, specially the bread, butter and real cheese!

Upon entering The Beehive, we immediately felt at home. The atmosphere was extremely cozy iwith a wonderful ambiance complete with a plethora of hummingbirds, great food, great company, and amazing conversation. We had no idea what we were in for when the owner, Ingo, sat with us at our table. Hours after closing, he continued to talk to us and gave us travelers amazing life advice. If you go to Mindo, you must go to The Beehive or you are missing a true gem.
