“A Relaxing Getaway with spectacular views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2012

Positives
* Outstanding views - particularly spectacular first thing in the morning. We obtained some brilliant photos of the view and local wildlife.
* Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere away from neighbours.
* Breakfast basket - fruit loaf, bread, cereals, milk, juice, fruit, yoghurt, condiments were enough to kick start our days before we tripped to wineries.
* Small kitchenette with microwave, BBQ on property available for use.
* Complimentary bottle of wine provided. We enjoyed this.
* Spa bath great. Pool on the property.
* Gas fire place and air conditioner kept us warm.
* Comfortable bed.

Negatives
* A distance from Polkobin and main township- where many wineries and eateries are available. However still plenty of options within a short distance to the B & B.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay. If you read the guest book at the B & B cottage you will see this is a special place to many. We did not want to leave this little slice of paradise and will certainly be back to use the voucher.

This is our 3rd time staying at Bimbadeen and we still love it. It is quite and a perfect place to get away from it all. The view is outstanding especially for watching the sun rise from the big bay windows. It is also a perfect place to relax and unwind at night with a glass of wine either in the spa bath or in front of the fire. Ray is just fantastic and remembered that last time we stayed there we got engaged. (now that is good customer service) We will be back there again to stay next time we make it to the Hunter Valley.

Set on top of the hill, the views are beautiful and it has a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. One of the owners, Ray, welcomes you with a quick tour of your villa & facilities, plus a breakfast basket which included cereal, fruit, milk, toast & yoghurt (condiments in the fridge). A small kitchenette is available if you'd like to cater for yourself, but of course there are many wonderful places to eat nearby around the vineyards.

You'll find a comfortable bed, large spa bath with a view, and a bay window overlooking the valley. The pool area is well maintained and also has a view over the valley, and is well positioned to give you privacy. These villas would be enjoyable year round - aircon and pool in the warmer months, and a cosy open fire in the cooler months.

I was a solo traveller looking for a somewhere quiet for a few days rest and relaxation and found Bimbadeen Estate perfect. It is also a great location for a romantic getaway or for groups of couples to holiday together.

Room Tip: Villas 1 - 4 are split level, 5 & 6 one level.

Great View, but as others have stated, it is on the edge of town, and a long way from much of the Hunter. Rooms are generally clean, it's really a motel more than a B&B. Close to Petersens.

But if you want a nice easterly view over Cessnock, and some basic accommodation, it is just fine. Good basic honest and average accommodation.

Very quiet. Sure it's more duplex than complex, but you get value.

But it's not charming or particularly unique- nor does it pretend to be despite some of the more over the top positive reviews.

The kitchens have some basic cooking facilities and the host is a good bloke.

Love this place! My girl and I first stayed 5 years ago in Winter and fell in love with it. Due to many circumstances, we didn't return til 5 years later and Ray remembered us and gave us our original room!!! That automatically made us feel special. Cabins are awesome with beautiful sweeping Hunter Valley views. Very romantic in Winter with fire place and our 2nd time was in Summer for Elton John concert - like returning home! Ray is a wonderful host and very helpful. You couldn't possibly stay in a nicer place in the Hunter Valley for the price you pay.

My husband and I stopped here for a 4 night stay for our honeymoon. We were instantly in awe of the view and the incredible serene feeling of this B&B. Ray was there to welcome us and show us to our incredible room! A huge and comfortable bed, kitchen area, windows out to the wonderful view, a great big bath tub, and a wonderfully cute little porch area perfect for morning coffee and afternoon wine:) During our trip, Ray gave us great suggestions on which wineries to go to and also gave us a GREAT butcher recommendation. We loved drinking wine in the room, using the awe-inspiring outdoor barbecue and enjoying the atmosphere. It was a wonderfully relaxing part of our honeymoon.

This is a jewel hidden amongst the many options of hunter valley. While it is not a social 'hub,' if you are looking for a wonderful place to relax, drink wine, and just thoroughly enjoy yourself...this is the place to be.

Thanks Ray for making our trip such a blessing. We will carry the views and memories with us for years to come!

Great little room, split level with a spa upstairs that overlooks the whole hunter valley. A gas fireplace downstairs & a private balcony with the best views of the hunter valley possible. Great little breakfast hamper & good value. Website needs work, cause it does no justice to how good this place is. The decor isn't perfect but who cares with such a great view.
