Having made the effort to go George's Paragon at Mount Tamborine last year (as the Sanctuary Cove was full), the family decided to go back to this restaurant again. Our first outting at and our first impression of this establishment was very good. The food was great and the service excellent (2010). However, this has all changed. This year the food was oily, especially the Greek Hor's D'oeuvres which mad large puddles of oil on the plate when all the food was eaten. The Veal Scaloppini was very salty and the Snapper (they spell it incorrectly as Schnapper) was dubious - was it really Snapper? The prices of all items on the menu have gone up twice in the last year. Their sales pitch is that lunch time menu is half price which begs the question, if Skandali (1 piece of Snapper and 3 small prawns with french fries) is $27.00 at lunch, is it $54.00 at dinner? George's Paragon was a very good place to dine out, having more than one restaurant has lowered the standard.
