This was probably one of my favorite places in North Island. The hike was gorgeous and not to difficult. The Cove itself was absolutely gorgeous, make sure you explore as much as you can and take as many photos as possible, you wont regret it!

The walk down was fantastic. Nice trail with some stairs. Little diversion trails to stingray and other bays give great views. Stop along the way and enjoy the islands and intense shorelines and cows.... Once inside have to take a walk through and get pics on both sides

We had never been to the Coromandel before so we were pleasantly surprised at this tourist attraction. It was a 45 minute walk from the carpark but it was well looked after and it was not too difficult. There was stairs where necessary and the beach was well worth seeing. It would be good to take a picnic with you.At this time of year it was a bit cool so I would like to go again in warmer weather.

A casual 45 minute walk to one of New Zealand's iconic beaches, it is well worth the effort to see. The scenery along the way is fantastic. If you have the time stop off at one of the many bays along the way (Gemstone, Stingray) this are great little spots to relax as well.

If you have travelled a bit around new zealand you know that there's plenty of beaches and coves where you might happen to be completely on you own in an angle of paradise. The walk and the beach are very similar to other ones around the country, but here you also have to queue on the path, and you will never get to take a picture without a group of tourists in it.
Go ther eif you have a lot of time, but trust me don't forget the unknown little beaches around Coromandel
