“Great place for a relaxed style lunch experience”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Ive only had lunch here on 2 occasions. Each time, the place has a relaxed feel with very pleasant serving staff. The menu gives a nice array of different options; including tapas style sharing plates which I love. The prices are not wonderful but that seems to be life in Auckland now eg lunch for 2, inlcuding a beer and a wine, was $90 yesterday (May 2014). The service was always pleasant but a little inefficient as they got busy yesterday during the rush - eg had to ask for cutlery, got one of our orders wrong, had to wait a long time for drinks (eg 30min) and then remind them twice. However, it is somewhere I would certainly go to again. The location to the Waiheke ferry is great, the view wonderful and the ambience lovely so if you are not in a rush, take the time to sit for an hour or two and suck it up.

“Good place for a simple but pleasant meal”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Good quality, simple menu, good service, lovely location. Went there twice whilst staying nearby for a few weeks. Just a nice, friendly, brasserie type restaurant.

“Out Shone The Reviews”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We arrived here to meet some old friends having just flown half way around the world.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the service was attentive and the food was great, not to mention the amount of wine that was consumed. The bill was very reasonable so what can we say - On a balmy spring afternoon this was a great place to meet and eat informally!

“Started off great but quickly declined”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

When it first opened it was really great and really enjoyed visiting it for lunch and dinner.
Sadly it quickly lost its appeal due to a totally static menu and 2 sizes of meal, small and smaller.
Paid $32 for a piece of Hapuka smaller than a PC mouse.
Staff are good but not always attentive and the worst feature is a large table in the centre of the restaurant which seats 12 or more.
When this table is occupied the noise level is totally unbearable and when it is not the restaurant is very noisy anyway.
With most customers coming from the immediate area the menu needs to be varied and upped in size or people won't return as we no longer do.
As a bar it is good, but restaurant needs rethinking and constantly varying menu to retain captive customer base who will quickly tire of lack of change.
