For value you cannot beat this place! We stayed the next night in Mollies in Auckland and blew over $1000....and wish we'd spent 5 nights with Trish & Jeff. The rooms are perfectly co-ordinated, with a wonderful comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, a deck with great views and we had a claw foot bath tub overlooking the hillside which we soaked in for hours. In the Tairua area there are many choices but Jeff & Trish set the standard at Rewa House. They accept one night reservations, know the locality, lent us a spade for hot water beach, are internationally well travelled and they even did some washing for us... cooked a brilliant breakfast.....including Jeff's famous mushrooms...which due to our chatter burnt...but no problem for Jeff...fresh ones were prepared. Now that is impressive!!!

My only wish is that we could convert Jeff to offering sausages, not that you need them....well we are members of the British Sausage Appreciation Society. However even without them the breakfast was more than ample with a freshly prepared selection of everything you need and not a French Toast in sight (little in-joke there!)

Why should you listen to us? Well we run an award winning inn in Woodstock Vermont and know the effort it takes to create a standard and more importantly maintain it. This humble abode was the best place we stayed in during our world trip...and that includes the Westin In Auckland, St. Regis in Shanghai, and Explora on Easter Island. All these places cost 2 - 5 times as much and were not as good. Value for money is an understatement....book and don't tell everyone otherwise we'll never get back in!

Oh and the highlight for us were the ducks on the pond that we even fed hot cross buns to....all in all a brilliant B & B.

We spent one night in Tairua in the outstanding B&B from Trish and Jeff. We could choose one off their two rooms in this really wonderful house. From the first moment we felt like at home because of the very warm welcome by Jeff and Trish.
They gave us a really good recommondation for dinner in the town. In the morning they served us delicious breakfast with Jeff's speciality - mushrooms! We were sad that we had to leave!

This was the first stopping place on our 3 week tour of New Zealand and it proved to be one of the best B&Bs we stayed at. After the long long flight to NZ we thought a relaxing couple of days on the Coromandel pensinula would be an ideal start and we were not disappointed. We had a beautiful room at Rewa House plus the use of a very comfortable lounge and deck area with stunning views down the valley. Our delightful hosts Jeff & Trish provided delicious breakfasts and were very knowledgeable about the area. There are some wonderful beaches close by and Tairua has several restaurants of which The Cypress Tree was our favourite.
