As our New Zealand odyssey sadly drew to a close, we had a very relaxed and simple lunch here.
With great views over the surrounding vineyards and countryside; the service was pleasant and the food good.
From a really nice and inviting menu, I chose the Mahurangi vineyard platter that came with assorted cured meats, seafood, cheeses and preserves accompanied by Matakana olive oil with fresh focaccia - very enjoyable and plenty to eat. I also imbibed a locally brewed dry apple cider.
Unfortunately it was somewhat rainy so we couldn't explore outside but the setting would be spectacular on a sunny day.
