I enjoy CB, their food is good, their service is good, they have plenty of seating both indoor and out. However their prices are "city" prices rather than local.
They have a great chocolate and treat shop attached to the restaurant, which (for many) adds to the appeal.

I'm a local and Chocolate Brown has always been a favorite of mine but as of lately the service has fallen dramatically. My coffee order has been stuffed up twice in the last week- asking for a cappucino and getting a mochacino and asking for trim milk and getting full fat. This is by no means the coffee makers fault, he is amazing and just goes by what is written down. There is no sense of urgency around the place anymore.

We had breakfast on Sundayt morning, cannot think of a better place to enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast, sitting in the courtyard and enjoying the sunshine at 9.30 am in the morning. The restaurant was very busy even at this time of the morning. I had the Kiwi breakfast which consisted of two poached eggs (eggs whichever way you choose) free range, bacon, tomatoes, black pudding, mushrooms, specialty sausage, potatoes (real potatoes) and two rounds of toast. Its a huge breakfast so be prepared. Also had the house special hot chocolate made with Belgian chocolate and cream on top, absolutely decadent, best I have tasted. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, will go back again. After breakfast we browsed through the chocolate shop and tasted the chocolates and fudges. It is a fantastic place to visit, lots of beautiful chocolates.

We made a stop here as it had been previously recommended to us.
I have to tell you about the cheese rolls......so simple, yet so awesome. I can't rave enough about them!
Service was friendly, food was ace....my iced chocolate was a little insipid but that is just a personal preference so I can't mark them down for it.
I also recommend the creme brûlée fudge....it is lovely!

I googled this place and thought there would be more of a chocolate factory feel to it with being able to watch the making the treats but there wasn't really., the shop however was great. Lots of choice and picked up some chocolate gifts. The cafe attached is good value, do have the cheese rolls.. They are so tasty! I am told the hot choc is great. I had an iced one which was a little disappointing, not very tasty but I'd definitely return but just have a different drink.
