Thank you for a Raelene professionalism. The house is very well maintained the breakfast more than royal, and the beautiful garden. There is even a very funny little shee. I did spend a good night really quiet

My husband and I stayed here a night and we wished we could stay longer. We enjoyed the huge room we had with the ensuite bathroom. The house is big, clean and very cozy. The location was perfect as it was a little outside of the main town area, which meant that it was super quiet and also perfect for stargazing. The view from the living room, which many reviewers have already posted, is even more gorgeous when you see it in real life!

Raelene had been such a wonderful and accommodating host. We had underestimated the time we needed to drive there (from Kaikoura!) and ended up arriving really late. We hadn't been able to call her in advance as we didn't take down her number. So I think we startled Raelene a little when we came knocking. But Raelene didn't complain and still offered to make us some tea and made sure we were well settled in. In the morning she made us breakfast and we had a nice chat with her. Her dog Beastie was super friendly too! All in all we really enjoyed staying here and Raelene's hospitality will stay with us for a long time.

I chose The Reflection Lodge because of the beautiful setting and the reviews from Trip Advisor. It was an excellent choice.

Raelene is very welcoming and provided coffee, tea and sweets when we arrived. There were four of us traveling and we had two rooms. Both of them were very lovely and had excellents views. The view of the mountains from the common area is amazing. We were so lucky to have the moutains out when we were there.

Raelene recommended several places to eat and they were excellent. She is well connected with folks in town and with the helicopter pilots. We had already booked a helihike excursion with Fox Glacier Guiding and we found out the helicopter was located right behind her property. That adventure was excellent as well.

She shared fresh veggies from her garden and the breakfast was excellent.

The Lodge is well located for activities in the area and the views of her property and the mountains are wonderful. I highly recommend the Lodge.

I did a lot of research on tripadvisor to find the best place to stay and I found Reflection Lodge. With such high expectation I still felt nicely surprised the minute I arrived. The house, the garden, the host, everything was just perfect. Although I had seen many nice pictures posted by other TA reviewers, I still found this is such a beautiful place to stay - gorgeous snow-moutain reflection in the pond right in front of the house, huge spacious rooms with stylish furniture, spotless clean everywhere. Raelene is a super nice host who kept entertaining us well that sometimes we even felt "are we bothering her too much". She noticed that I was having a sour throat and offered me honey water which was helpful. And the breakfast was also fantastic. All of us enjoyed every bit of the stay in Reflection lodge!

Sadly it rained for the entire time we were here so didn't get to see Reflection Lodge in its glory. However, we still had a lovely stay here. Our bedroom was big with an ensuite, and was very comfortable, and importantly, well heated! We had a warm welcome from Raelene and she made us feel at home instantly. One evening we went to dinner at Matheson Cafe which was very good, and the other evening, we had dinner at the Lodge itself which was informal and relaxed. Raelene was very informative about the various things we could do in the area, and we even managed a decent couple of walks, albeit in the rain. The area is spectacular, and in the right weather would make for a great holiday. We'd recommend a stay here.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. Raelene was so welcoming and made us feel really comfortable and at home. She offered us tea and home baked cookies on arrival. The breakfast were lovely. We had a room with an en suite and it was very spacious and comfortable. The B&B is aptly names as the reflection in the lake in the garden is magnificent. We could not want more and we left feeling as if Raelene was an old friend.

My sisters and I stayed at Reflection Lodge just for one evening back in February. But, when we pulled up along the driveway and saw the view of Mount Tasman reflected in the pool in front of her home, we were awestruck!! Magnificent view of the snow capped mountains. Raelene was very welcoming and accommodated us by taking a ton of pics with the beautiful backdrop! She then offered up a wonderful suggestion for dinner.....Cafe Matheson. The Cafe also had stunning views of the mountains and had outdoor seating. Our rooms were very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to add TV's to the rooms. Sometimes you would like to watch television in the privacy of your room. In the morning, Raelene served a delicious breakfast. Then, all to soon we had to leave this wonderful B & B to venture to our next destination!
