The kitchen is ok but it,s the first campground in 8 months where there is no oven (there was maybe a microwave/oven). So, too bad for our planned pizza! Our tent has been attacked by the keas, which is totally not the owner's fault (stop feeding the keas please!), but she didn't look really sorry, saying it's never happened before... not sure of that, but too late, the night is paid, 36 dollars for a tent with 2 people for the winter, which is for us expensive as compared to other better equiped campgrounds.

We stayed for one night early March while on a 21day Motorhome tour of South and North islands. A small but very clean site very friendly and helpful staff, good value for money. Excellent location for Fox Glacier walks and Helihike. Well worth a stop would highly recommend.

Would highly recommend this facility. Hope to return soon for another camping trip. The kitchen and showers were very clean and organized. Very close to Fox and Franze Josef Glacier. Tent site well located in trees. Peaceful surroundings and helpful staff.

Great location with a fair price. We even were allowed to leave our van for free while we've been on the tour! Stayed another night since the showers were just too good Minor - point: broken waterboiler in the kitchen.

Dark haired woman rude and unfriendly in the extreme.. Told us that the park was empty of camper vans , then when we asked about a particular spot she said was there a green chair there then that reserve didn't work she then went on and on about how we don't get it we felt very insulted and she made us not want to stay. Who ever owns this property get rid of her as she will turn all of your customers away we only stayed one night because of her CHARMING !

Room Tip: Just don't go here

A small site in the middle of Fox Glacier where we were made to feel very welcome. Its location makes it more convenient than Top 10. The showers and toilets were very clean and enough to cater for those on the site. The pitches are level and some are grassed. A minutes walk from the site is a restaurant (The Last Kitchen?) where we had an excellent meal. The owners of the site booked our helicopter flight over Fox Glacier without any fuss and we were up there with in an hour of arriving in Fox! Super friendly and we would highly recommend it.

Very friendly welcome which is always appreciated. Excellent showers. The hand basins are very narrow which makes brushing your teeth somewhat cumbersome! The water pressure in the sinks is also too strong so you end up soaking yourself, though on the last day I found a proper tap in the last toilet.

The sites are fine, nothing to write home about though the overall grounds lack character.

Facilities are what I have knocked this place down to average for as I would class them as boarder line terrible. I could not get the BBQ to work and even if I did there is no way you can clean it. No sink nearby, no wire bush etc etc.

We were staying two nights at Fox so this bothered me, but given its location (almost across the road from Fox Guides - far better than Top 10), the friendly welcome from Deborah and it's very low price tag, it's worth staying.
