Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jamie and his crew for opening Full Of Beans for all the locals and the tourists and King Tiger on Saturday, you guys worked your butt off, the food was great and well worth the expense of a mere $25. We all know you didn't do this for profit, just out of good nature to help us all get a hot meal during the power outage. Great job guys!

Majority of restaurants in franz josef were closed Good Friday due to power lines cut and this will probably continue through Easter. This place put on a buffet meal - nothing wrong with that - using generator power. $25 per head. That is okay too. But it is not okay to keep selling the meal when part of the meal is not available. Salad greens were heading for the slimy stages. Think it was beef strog which was fine but no rice! All gone. Waiter says no more. Nothing to mop it up with. No bread, no mash, just a tablespoon of pasta that was already in a sauce. Cold pies? ordinary sausages that werent even warm? $25?? A credit to them for providing meals under difficult circumstances but at $25, it was the biggest rip off I have seen in 2 weeks in New Zealand. Shame on you. You should have stopped accepting money or reduced the cost. You were making money hand over fist. GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY

Food OK for a standard cafe (not sensational, not bad) with super sized portions if you are hungry! Friendly staff and good coffee.

The atmosphere was really nice at Full of Beans until we got to the counter. The two waitresses we had today 7/4/14 did not smile once, ignored our please and thank yous, and spent their time glaring at customers. I ordered a summer berry smoothie and it was dreadful. My partner ended up drinking it so I wouldn't return it. I've never been so put off by rude staff.

Great way to start the morning. They had great coffee and the bacon is amazing. Different from US bacon, maybe in the way it is cut, but I could not get enough of it. So delicious!! Plus you can't beat the beauty of the name....awesome breakfast Full of Beans!
