Excellent staff, location and everything you need, good food drinks .... only let down backpackers loud at 2.00am above your room and a rude bus driver that brought the backpackers ....
Other than the messy backpackers this is a very special place and the staff were awesome = thank you..oh plus the beds are excellent as well

Hi Great11131
Thank you for staying with us and your lovely review. I will pass on your feedback to the staff who I know will be frilled with your comments. I have had a friendly chat with the not so friendly bus driver and her company.
I hope we see you again soon,
Cheers
Oscar

We had a tree house which had a cute, windowed nook for eating, a large bathroom, and great location among the trees. There were tons of options from hostel to boutique accommodation on the grounds. We enjoyed the restaurant there as we found the best drinks in town one night!

We were travelling on a special occasion and were complimentary upgraded which was lovely, the staff were lovely and helped with anything you needed, but...do not stay in the room on the bottom floor because you can hear EVERYTHING from the room above you, if they are up at 6am you are up...Not so great when you are on holiday and wanting a sleep in.

Room Tip: Room on 2nd floor.

We stayed in a tree hut which was spacious, clean and had modern bathroom facilities and a comfy King bed. The Holiday Park is located within the township of Franz Josef - so a short walk to shops, cafes and restaurants.

My only complaint with our stay was that the log cabins walls let in a lot of noise from outside - and with the Holiday Park being packed with tour groups and others there was noise from cars, foot steps (on crunchy gravel) and voices moving past our cabin from early in the morning to late at night. A cabin further away from the reception/entrance would have been quieter - or invest in some sort of sound proofing - it was like the walls weren't there!!

Room Tip: Ask for a log cabin further into the rainforest and away from the reception/entry.

We stayed in one of the huts, tucked away in the rainforest in February. It is an easy walk into the town, and the Monsoon restaurant was a perfect spot to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday! The room had a kitchenette, and was quiet, will definitely be on our list of places to return to on our next visit!

What an awesome place to base yourself to enjoy this iconic area. We stayed in the Gecko Cabins which are fantastic and really well appointed. We really enjoyed the little bit of exclusive ness with the small communal area and hot tub :-) The Monsoon Bar is excellent and a great place to meet people and get a great meal. Definitely recommend this facility as it caters for everyone from cabins, units, backpackers and campers. Great location, great service and friendly helpful staff, right down to the maintenance man who looked after my laundry after a machine malfunction and timing issues getting to an activity! Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
