My husband & I stayed here (2nd time) for the 4th of July. Got a king harbour view room which was much more than we would normally pay for a motel, however expected due to the date! Big, clean, well kept rooms with a fantastic view. We easily could have viewed the fireworks from our room but chose to take the easy short walk to the city pier. Also very easy drive to Hurricane Ridge (which we did the following day). Apart from the dated bedspread, curtains & bathroom floor everthing else seems to be pretty updated. I would recommend this motel and we will most likely stay there again on our travels through.

Stayed: July 2014

The Port Angeles Inn is convenient walking distance downhill over 3-4 blocks to the central downtown of Port Angeles and the ferry across to Victoria, BC. It's a 40 minute drive to the top of Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park and an hour and 20 minutes out to Rialto Beach.

The Inn itself is clean and in good repair. Be advised there is no air conditioning. A fan was provided in our harbor view room. The king sized bed room was larger than average with a mini-fridge. The bathroom was very clean but décor right out of the late 70's / early 80s with chocolate brown striped marble countertop and red-brown terra-cotta style floor and earth-tone shower curtain. The shower head is very low; at the 4 1/2 foot height...maybe. You have to bend over. The breakfast is typical with waffle maker, cereal, hard boiled eggs coffee and juice. Don't expect a big variety but good enough to fill the space in your stomach.

The Inn is about 10-15% overvalued in comparison to other hotels outside of Seattle however I have not stayed in other Port Angeles hotels or motels so I can't say if it is good value for this immediate area. First rule of economics is to charge what the market will bear.

Personally the Port Angeles Inn is not a destination but it is a convenient waypoint for the ferry to Victoria, BC, Hurricane Ridge or longer driving day trips to Rialto Beach or HOH Rainforest. Other reviewers are impressed but I would say clean, dated, convenient location and acceptably average to above average.

Room Tip: Harbour View rooms overlook central downtown and the Strait of Juan de Fuca but a 10 minute walk dow...

Can't believe I forgot to review this little gem. During our 4 night Thanksgiving holiday we winged it - no reservations. Found this place on Tripadvisor and they had an opening at a reasonable price. We were given a room at the back of the motel with the most gorgeous view of the town and harbor below. The room was plain but clean and the bed great. While I usually think to give 5 stars to exceptionally upscale places (i.e. Terranea resort) I'm thinking why not a plain, simple, affordable place that has all the basics for a night's stopover covered!? We're thinking to return to spend some more time in this lovely town, and to find the bar we went to that had the best burger we've ever eaten.

Room Tip: Ask for that read room on the ground floor for the breathtaking view. Have your walking shoes becaus...

We stayed here for two nights to ride the ferry to spend a day in Victoria. Second floor room had a great view of the harbor where there was always something going on. Bring binoculars for great fun watching the comings and goings of The Ferry, Pilot Boats, Freighters and Cruise Ships. This is an older hotel but everything is very well kept and very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Several good restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Get a second or third floor water view room and bring binoculars

Given the hotel is not fancy , very clean, comfortable and friendly. I would stay there again. Convenient to restaurants and ferry. Ask for a harbor view room. The breakfast is simple, but there are so many nice breakfast placed in Port Angeles I'd skip it and go find one of those small coffee restaurant places instead.

We spent the night here before taking the Ferry to Victoria. It was clean, great location and helpful staff. Easy walk to restaurants. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were passing through Port Angeles and staying only one night. The staff was friendly and accommodating on Christmas Day. The motel is dated, but we loved that! It made it unique & cute! Breakfast was nice. 5 stars to the waffle maker. The only negative would be the heating system. I couldn't seem to get it set just right so I was hot or cold! But I would stay there again for sure! Thanks for a great stay!
