I really enjoyed the hiking trial to the falls. They did not disappoint when we arrived. Took some great pictures to remember our lovely day.

I thought this was a very nice waterfall. Although it is not huge or terribly dramatic, it is accessible to everyone from children to those in wheel chairs. We had a picnic with a glacier in the background. We were there after Labor Day so there were not huge crowds, but still a number of people. There are two benches where you can sit and just enjoy the wooded setting. It was worth the stop as we visited the rest of the area at this park entrance. The real treasure we discovered was farther up the road. We took the Whiskey Bend Road which is an unpaved road just past the Elwha Ranger Station. The road led to a set of trails which were incredible. We hiked on the "Overlook/ Humes Ranch Trail" which was very well maintained and easily hiked by many people. The views were outstanding! Just be warned the Whiskey Bend Road should be traveled slowly as it is one lane and you have to watch for cars coming the other way. With the proper attitude this is easily dealt with. We would certainly hike this trail again!

This waterfall is a 1/4 mile hike on paved trail. Some huge Maples are along the way. The falls are actually quite attractive. Well worth short hike and take time to appreciate the trees as you walk.

There is nothing to dislike. It is great that this falls can be visited by even those who are not as mobile as the vast number of serious hikers in ONP.

Only 8 miles west of Port Angeles, take Whiskey Hot Springs Rd (Elwha River Valley) off of US 101. About 2 miles into the valley is the beautiful Madison Creek Falls and it is only about 200 feet from the parking lot! There is not much else in this valley, since they have removed the dam that used to be there, but the short drive up to the Falls is worth it!
