“I sleep so well here!”
Reviewed 4 September 2010

The fresh sea and mountain air, the casual luxury and the outstanding breakfast all make for a very relaxing stay. We live in Seattle, but come out every couple of months to unwind. One delightful thing we discovered (well actually Peggy and Layne recommended it) is a VERY good Thai restaurant within minutes of the Inn. It is one of our top 4 in Washington!

This B&B is cozy, comfortable and truly relaxing. We loved the breakfast & and our room !! This is really an amazing place in the country to visit & Inn at Rooster was just the perfect place to stay. The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. Peggy & Layne are great/friendly people but they gave you space to feel at home. I have food allergies and Peggy was so great at accommodating and making me a breakfast I could eat! It was delicious !! I loved Coco - their loving doggie! I definitely recommend it!

Stayed there for four nights in two different rooms, the Karen and the Lauren. Both were lovely rooms! The house is much bigger than it seems from the street. Peggy and Layne are such great people and always greet you with a smile like you are family :) They will give good advice on great restaurants and activities in the area. The food is excellent too, yummy. Too bad we had to leave. sigh

We loved being greeted by Coco, a very friendly dog, and then her owners/our hosts who couldn't have been nicer and more accomodating. Our room was very comfortable and charmingly decorated. We had a very good and quiet night sleep after dining downtown at one of the many excellent restaurants in Port Angeles. We had to catch an early ferry to Voctoria and Peggy very kindly had a nutritious bag breakfast prepared which had more than enough food for the two of us.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Rooster Hill Inn and hope to be able to return. We were a family of five and the Inn keepers were great in suggesting different room options to accomodate us. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the little kitchenette was very convenient. The hosts were very friendly and personable and provided a lot of helpful information. Breakfast in the morning was great and much better than you would find in most restaurants. We had no complaints and felt that Peggy and Layne would have been very responsive if we had any issues. We hope to be able to return again and spend more time.

My wife and I went up to Port Angeles for our honeymoon, and spent an evening at Rooster Hill in the Roiel room. to anyone considering the same: do it. Do not hesitate. Listen to this Internet stranger. he is the voice of reason and experience. Seriously, this was a wonderful room and home. Everything the owners did was in my opinion far beyond what I expected. The room was indulgent. The closet was huge. The bathroom huge-er. The bedroom so huge that we will construct a new word to encompass both its size and splendor: fantasti-huge. My wife and I are already looking forward to booking with them again, and bringing our parents (either set or both. I don't care, but SOMEbody's got to get in on this,) and you can bet a stupidly high amount of money that we're reserving space at Rooster Hill. You will, naturally, have a stupidly high amount of money to gamble with seeing as you will be getting an incredible bargain on your accommodations. There is a small dog present, but that should be a welcome surprise to anyone who isn't allergic. To those that are: seriously, get some Claritin or something and pet this dog. Port Angeles is located nicely to access the simply astounding views of Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh Rainforest, the ferries to the San Juan Islands, and the Lumber Museum in Forks (I think someone wrote a book about that place once.)

If you must make a Bed and Breakfast an idol to worship, cast Rooster Hill in gold, and bow before it.
