Regular double queen room with fridge/microwave. Room was pretty basic, but clean. Didn't use outdoor pool, but did soak in hot tub (outdoor but under cover). Basic breakfast with waffle maker. Motel style with rooms opening to covered, outside hallways. Would stay again if looking for basic, budget hotel for a night. Check out is at 11 am, but they will go to noon if you request it.

We were very happy, with this motel. Especially, the front desk help and suggestions. Breakfast with great waffles and fruit was included. 2 excellent nearby resturants - the Bushwhacker, and Cafe Garden gave great meals and service. Would definately stay there, and eat in those resturants again.

I was looking for a hotel in Port Angeles that was close to the ferry terminal so we could get the first ferry in the morning to Canada. I had read all the reviews and really the hotel selections were pretty slim. I had never been to Port Angeles and did not realise how small the town really was. Everything is close to the ferry. So I booked us in for one night at the Days Inn. We got there about 10pm and checked in. Room was as expected. No frills. Bathroom had hair on the floor when I walked in so that says alot about how clean our room really was. Checked the sheets and they looked fresh. I thought for one night it would be fine.
I had read the reviews about the really thin walls but had thought really how bad could they be? Well, they could be bad. I was lying in bed and heard the man in the next room or the room above get out of bed, no really I could hear his sheets move, walk to the bathroom and pee. Seriously I heard it all. Thankfully I am a heavy sleeper and had brought earplugs.
We were up early the next morning and stopped in for breakfast. The usual fare. Waffles, toast, cereal, muffins, fruit.
I would hope not to have to stay here again but as I said the selection is not great and we may have to. Bring earplugs!

The hotel was close to the ferry and on the straight shot into town, also making it easy to get to from one direction. Unfortunately however Port Angeles is currently doing road construction/restoration so all of the other roads leading to the inn are blocked or difficult to access. Also the night we were there they resurfaced the road directly beside us from 11:30 pm to about 2:30 am. Just as the construction ended an alarm began going off in a vacant room near us. We barely slept at all.
The breakfast was an excellent selection of fruits, muffins, whole wheat bread, two kinds of cereal and a waffle maker with the standard thin OJ and apple juice. There were lovely tables available to eat at.
The pool only goes to 4 feet, but it is pleasantly warm in the cold weather. The hot tub could have been hotter but it wasn't unpleasant.
Also, the first room we were given was supposedly smoke free but reeked. They were very willing to give us a new room.

We were pleasantly surprised, quite pleasantly surprised actually, as previous stays at other Days Inn motels have been quite disappointing. We were here on a recent sold out night and had made reservations several weeks in advance. Two sides of the motel face busy roads and we were on the "in-between" side facing east that did not, so it was much quieter. Our room was big, clean, had a big brand new comfy king bed, and a flat panel tv, something I'd never seen in a motel at this rate before, all for a very reasonable rate given the high tourist season. Nice pool and hot tub on the grounds too. Breakfast is mediocre as it is at all chain motels--kids competing for the waffle iron, cereals, toast, etc. But I'm not complaining as its "free." We'll definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: As for a room that doesn't face the road.

Stopped for two nights during a recent road trip to visit the city of Victoria, B.C.. Because we were staying two nights we received a special rate that totaled less than $150.00 for both nights. The facility is located less than a fifteen minute drive to the departure point of the one and only ferry to Vancouver Island. The 2 Queen Bed room was clean and comfortable and after spending a long day in Victoria it was nice to come back and relax and get a good night's sleep. The front desk people were very nice and helpful and because our stay at the Days Inn our day in Victoria was memorable. If your ever in Port Angeles and are looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay, we recommend the Days Inn Port Angeles.
