My husband & I were touched immediately with the beautiful surroundings as we approached the magnificent George Washington Inn! We were greeted warmly by Janet and later her husband Dan. The Inn is amazing and there is not one bad view .... surrounded by God's glorious creation... my husband and I were stunned and felt so blessed to be staying at such a beautiful place inside and out. We stayed in the Generals Suite (AMAZING Suite!) which was upstairs overlooking Vancouver and San Juan Islands!! BTW huge veranda upstairs to sit and look out over the channel. So much attention to detail with the rooms, more than comfortable, we slept like babies; although we couldn't wait to wake up each morning in anticipation of what our eyes would behold. Dan & Janet were wonderful and so accommodating and always there to help with information. Janet made sure we had reservations for Dockside Grill to eat (which was fabulous) But always gave us space...very gracious and kind people. We loved the breakfasts and meeting others too was a highlight. We look forward to returning someday to this BLESSED PLACE

My wife and I along with four other couples spent two nights at the George Washington Inn and our experience was outstanding. The rooms and breakfast were fantastic. Unbelievable views of the mountains of Olympic National Park from the front of the Inn and the water and Vancouver Island from the back. Our group has taken a trip together annually since 2005 and we put the George Washington Inn as one of the best places we have stayed!

My husband and I stayed here in the Surveyor's Retreat room last April for a vacation week away together. it was wonderful! The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, especially loved the baked oatmeal. The view is beautiful from the breakfast area, and sometimes you'll see deer and other wildlife wandering across the huge back lawn. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was great, very clean and nice, with a nice big bathroom attached. Went hiking nearby, and one day drove to the Hoh Forest for hiking, very beautiful there. The Inn is between Port Angeles and Sequim so not a lot to do in the immediate area besides hiking, but it's a short drive to restaurants. We mainly hiked and relaxed, a great week away, would have loved to stay longer if we could have! Would definitely return.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Surveyor's Retreat and it was quiet, you get a personal key to your room as wel...

My wife and I spent a night here at the George Washington in early March and it was a wonderful experience. The service was great, the rooms are very well appointed and the view of the Straits and Dungeness Valley is gorgeous. Spending some time with George Washington was also a nice surprise. If you're looking for a great getaway I highly recommend the George Washington Inn.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of visiting George Washington Inn. We fell in love with the serene, quietness that makes you feel like you want to whisper. The inn is just a short amount away from the beautiful bluffs over looking the strait of Juan De Fuca. You can see historical landmarks such as The Dungeness Lighthouse, Mt. Baker, and even straight across the water into Victoria, BC. On the South side of the house are the Olympic Mountains in all their splendor, sprawled out across the beautiful blue sky.

We had the pleasure of staying in the Presidential Suite, and it truly was fit for such honored guests. It has it's own quiet entrance, kitchen with fully stocked refrigerator, microwave, coffee, and even dishes. When you walk in to the boudoir you are immediately greeted with a beautiful stone fireplace and very large four poster bed. The separate louver is very spacious with a full walk in shower and delicious jetted tub. They have included their own soaps and lotions that are made onsite from their Washington Lavender Farm. There are also robes and slippers for your convenience. The room was keep beautifully, I truly felt like we were the only guests that have stayed in this suite.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of home made French toast, baked pear, and apple oatmeal with yummy sausages. Orange juice, and Washington's own roast coffee. Janet was very gracious and accommodating and we definitely plan on returning in the future. If you are considering George Washington Inn, I highly recommend it. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Room Tip: Presidential is top of the line, and worth every penny!

We come back each year and always have a comfortable and enjoyable visit. We appreciate all the special touches and the delicious breakfasts. I loved being able to play the piano - another touch that made it feel like home. Can't wait to visit again and maybe see the lavender blooming!
