We stayed for 2 nights in August. The rooms are lovely, nice and big. The entrance is really impressive. Pool area is nice. But could not believe the price we paid and didn't get breakfast! We'd stayed in a Sleep Inn the previous night in Seattle and had paid less than half the price and it was just as nice and breakfast was included! Disappointing. Port Angeles is good location for getting ferry to Victoria, otherwise would never go there! Ugly!

First of all, thank you for choosing the Olympic Lodge and for taking the time to post your review of our hotel. Unfortunately, competition for the few available hotel rooms during summer in Port Angeles has driven rates up, but the Olympic Lodge has made a steadfast commitment to offer excellent accommodations in return. I hope you had a chance to try breakfast in our restaurant--guest feedback is what prompted us to offer a made-to-order breakfast with full waitstaff service several years ago. I hope that next time you are in the area, you'll choose the Olympic Lodge again, TripAdvisor's #1 rated hotel in Port Angeles.

This hotel is very good at making you feel comfortable. The golf course view is spectacular, and they have done a fantastic hob of integrating it into the lobby and pool area. Though very good, the restaurant in the hotel only serves breakfast. This is perhaps the best hotel in Port Angeles.

I stayed here for 1 night recently, as we were passing through Port Angeles on our way to Victoria. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the ferry docks. This hotel was fine, but nothing special. I'd say it's pretty comparable to chain hotels like Holiday Inn, but to give it credit, it does have some better aspects. The lobby is beautiful, with super high ceilings, a stone fireplace that was crackling, and lots of places to lounge. They also have an outdoor pool and hottub, both of which were warm, CLEAN, and offered adults only hours (bonus points there). Out front, they have a beautifully landscaped little area near where you drive up. The room was spacious but nothing really worth noting, however. It didn't feel special. For me, this isn't really a "destination" hotel but rather a place I'd only stay out of convenience (to the ferry docks).

We stayed here when checking out the Port Townsend area of of the Olympic Peninsula. The Port Townsend hotel rates were far higher, even for the flea-bag hotels. The Olympic Lodge was a bit farther than we thought, but it was gorgeous. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms very well-appointed with coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave. 2 queen beds, a split sink, a table and a desk made it perfect for 4. We didn't use it but the pool looked lovely.

This was our second stay at Olympic Lodge (first time in 2001). Both times we've found the hotel clean, comfortable, and quiet. Although an independent hotel, it is fully up to the standard of a good hotel chain (such as well-kept Holiday Inn Expresses, Comfort Suites, etc.) Breakfast is not included with the room, but the restaurant in the hotel serves a good selection at reasonable prices. We stayed in Port Angeles for our visit to Olympic National Park and the Olympic Lodge is very convenient to the Hurricane Ridge road, but not so convenient to the other parts of the park. It was nice being in town for places to eat in the evening, etc. but we kinda wished we had stayed in the park (at the Lake Crescent lodging) for ease of access to hiking and sight-seeing.

My son and I took a trip to Seattle for a day, three days at Olympic National Park, one day at North Cascades Ntl. Park, and then stayed in Leavenworth, WA on the way back to the airport in Seattle. We really found the Olympic Lodge to be a great place to access Olympic. It was very convenient, clean, and the rooms were big. Great beds to sleep in as well and the front desk personnel were very helpful on which ferry to take, places to visit etc. The hot tub wasn't working when we were there, but other than that it exceeded our expectations.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at our hotel! I'm glad you were able to take advantage of our Front Desk agents' great knowledge of the area; we all love showing off the best places in the Olympic Northwest. After a few days waiting for the part to come in, we now have our hot tub open again, and we hope you'll be back soon to enjoy it!

We started our honeymoon in Port Angeles in order to visit the Olympic National Park. Originally we had planned to stay in the park, but their lodges were full. The Olympic Lodge offered a good rate and the amenities we were looking for. When we arrived to check in everything was ready and we were easily able to park our rental car in the lot. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, the staff were friendly and approachable. Our first morning there we ate breakfast at the hotel. The food was delicious and used local ingredients. It was just what we needed before a full day of hiking. The beds were comfortable, the wireless easy to access, and the shower was good. There was a pool and hot tub, but we didn't get a chance to use them. They are outside and seemed nice. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely book again when we come back to see more of the national park.
