First impression walking into the reception area was fantastic! Beautiful place and loved the view of the golf course. The lady who checked-us in however wasn't the most friendly. I don't know if it was because we changed our two nights to one or she didn't like the way we looked or ? but when I was waiting for my husband, another couple came in and she was very friendly to them. Very different from our experience with her. Also, when I called in to make a reservation, I requested a room away from the pool and with a view of the golf course. I was told no problem. Again, not sure if it was because of cancelling the one night but ended up above the pool. When I called to ask why, they said there was no request for this mentioned in their notes. They could move us to the room across the hall, which faced to highway. She was very nice and tried to help but it really it didn't fix the main problem. Next, there was paper towels on the floor by the bed when we came in. Thought maybe the maid just dropped it and didn't see it on the way out? I really started to wonder though if they forgot to clean everything because after getting into bed (around midnight) my pillow had a body order smell. At this point, I felt it was too late to call and get our rooms changed, so I just slept without pillows. There is no complimentary breakfast, which I thought unusual for this type of hotel. Out of all the places we stayed at (7) during our trip, this was the only one that we had some issues with. Everything else was clean and looked good, so not sure if this was just one of those things or ? Just not sure what to make of it.

Room Tip: Request rooms that are facing golf course and not by the pool and make sure to get it confirmed in w...

We loved out stay at The Olympic Lodge in Port Angeles. We had debated whether to stay in a couple of park lodges but decided to stay in town with more flexibility for restaurants and driving to various park locations. The lodge was welcoming, the rooms very large and definitely stay in the back of the hotel which faces the golf course and mountains. It was so quiet, bed so comfortable and service and staff were wonderful and knowledgeable. The hotel is about 1.5 miles from downtown near the ferry to Victoria. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Rooms with golf/mountain view are wonderful.

I spent four nights at the Olympic Lodge in June. My room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed and linens were some of the best I have experienced in a hotel. I usually have trouble sleeping the first few nights in a hotel but not here. The WiFi was excellent and there were plenty of TV stations for relaxing in the evening. There are several restaurants/fast food places within walking distance. The staff was great, always helpful and courteous. Breakfast is available at the hotel but is not included with the room.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a golf course view room which we felt was better than the street view. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The location was very good. It gave us easy access to the ferry going to Victoria, B.C.

The only things we would suggest to the hotel is to have coffee available in the lobby and offer a free breakfast. The restaurant there is very expensive for breakfast but McDonalds is just 1/2 mile away.

We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get a golf course view. The view to the water is to far to really enjoy.

We were so impressed with the lovely room we stayed in here! Make sure you get one on the second floor by the impressive landscaping and water feature. We were in room 239. The bed was excellent and we slept wonderfully. Staff was excellent and helpful.

Stayed here 2 nights while visiting western WA. Wasn't sure of what we were going to do so asked front desk what they recommended. They said to go to Cape Flattery, which is the most northwestern tip of the continental US (we hadn't heard of it so decided to go.) Beautiful but slow drive through mountains but well worth the drive (and the hike to the tip.) Took slightly different route back and did hike to Marymere Falls in ONP. We never would have gone to Cape Flattery had they not recommended it.

As far as the hotel and room, it was probably the most comfortable bed we slept in on our 7-night road trip. The room was huge. We had a first-floor walkout patio room facing golf course. There were tall bushes blocking the view of the golf course but it was kind of nice to walk right outside. Definitely would recommend hotel or stay there again if we were in area. Fun little town to explore with some great restaurants.

After spending days on the Washington Coast, this was a fine foray back to civilization. Plump beds, luxury linens, WifI and load of TV channels. I spend about 100+ nights a year in a hotel and this was the equivalent of a typical Renaissance or Marriott. Very reasonable price for the amenities.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for the mountain view as the water view for us was excellent.
