Probably the best choice in Port Angeles, but be aware that the "patio rooms" for which you pay a premium, feature very small sitting areas looking directly into a chain link fence that separates the hotel from the golf course. Also, despite the inviting photo on the website featuring a cozy fireplace and wine, there is no wine served and no food after 10:30 a.m. Be aware that breakfast is expensive. Mine, $11.50, featured two poached eggs, one small slice of toast, one tablespoon of jam, and less than half a cup of fruit. My husband had a "stack" of two pancakes. That said, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the very noisy ice machine in the first floor corridor didn't keep us awake.

Thank you for staying with us at the Olympic Lodge and taking the time share your review. We apologize for the confusion caused from the photos on our website. We do in fact have a very cozy lobby, and although we don’t serve dinner or wine, it is very common for our guests to bring their own food or wine to enjoy in front of the fireplace. The photos are staged to portray the comfortable atmosphere, but not to mislead guest. As for the patio rooms, being that we are situated directly in front of the golf course, it is necessary to have the fence as a barrier from soaring golf balls. We are sorry that you felt this was too much of an obstruction to your view. We hope that our new added water features helped create a peaceful and beautiful setting for you to enjoy on your patio. We are happy to know despite the confusion on the patio rooms and lobby you were still able to enjoy the comfort and cleanliness of your room. Thank you for being our guest and we hope to have you back at the Olympic Lodge soon!

It won't be the least expensive lodging option in Port Angeles during the high season but if you don't want to worry about having a clean and comfy room, this is your place. The staff was friendly and efficient ... we highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: There is no view of the harbor so request a room with a golf course/mountain view.

There are cheaper hotels, and hotels closer to the port. But this is really the best hotel in the area. My wfie mentioned how comfortable the bed was and the quality of the down comforter. There is a wood buringin fireplace in the foyer, and they indeed burn wood in it nightly. All staff was very friendly and polite, even the cleaning people, and the front desk was very helpful. If you are staying in Port Angeles, stay here.

I would agree with all the comments about the huge rooms, lovely golf course view(worth a little extra) and all the other amenities. It is a hidden gem just off the very busy road and above the Motel 8 and Jason's (which is why the back room views of the golf course are so nice!!)

All the staff at the front desk were wonderful when we arrived - they gave us a detailed map and a quick review of the food at each restaurant. Thanks to them we had a fantastic meal at Cafe Garden, but probably would not have known about it without their recommendation.

The breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic. There were several large wedding groups there and the kitchen was a bit slow. The waitress was very apologetic, and we understood the wait. She compt us our coffees and then brought out 2 scones with fresh preserve wrapped for us to take on our trip home. What a life saver - our trip home was on the red-eye to the east coast and the scones were our breakfast.
The hotel was great, but the staff was even better and you don't often get that today!!

As to the cost...my motto is why pay almost as much for an inferior hotel and restaurant? Get the best - you deserve it!

Nice decoration. Helpful staff. Very comfortable room. Good location to explore the Olympic National Park. The best hotel in Port Angeles. If it has been located less close the Hyghway, everything would have been perfect.

Room Tip: Lobby level rooms have nice small gardens.
