“LOVED IT!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2012

My husband and I stayed at The Sea Cliff Gardens in May as part of our two week trip to the Pacific Northwest. We had never stayed in a B & B before, so we were not sure what to expect. I do not know if this was a typical experience in the world of B&B's, but I don't think so. Bonnie and Phillip welcomed us into their beautiful home. We felt like we were visiting family, only it was better because Bonnie did the cooking. Her breakfasts were delicious and she went out of her way to make sure that individual eating preferences were honored. I do not eat red meat and Bonnie made sure to deliciously adjust her menu to meet my needs. The grounds were beautiful (we saw eagles flying in the backyard!) and the other guests were great. Bonnie, Phillip and the other guests were helpful with suggestions on things to do in the area. We did a fair amount of hiking and exploring. The only thing we would change is to stay a few days longer. As we were leaving, I told Bonnie that she ruined our future stays at other B&B's since I sincerely doubt the other B&B's will come close to competing with Sea Cliff Gardens.

My husband and I have stayed at many B & B's over the past 12 years, and this one is the absolute best! Bonnie and Phillip have thought of everything-a cabinet full of bottled water, assorted sodas, toiletries you might have forgotten, homemade cookies every day in your room, binoculars to enjoy the view from your huge window overlooking the "straights", popcorn, assorted teas, hot chocolates, and apple cider. The breakfast every morning was awesome! Bonnie does a very nice mix of fresh fruit (arranged beautifully), egg dish, pancakes, or french toast and breakfast meat. We were there for 6 days and did not have the same thing twice. Everything was so delicious! The inn is amazingly clean, white and bright. The bed was heavenly and the sheets were so soft. The garden was beautifully in bloom. Deer appear in the front yard, and eagles glide by the cliff. You can sit in the backyard by the cliff and watch the various ships cruise by. We can't wait to go back, but this time in the fall. Loved it!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Maria Thersea room. This room was on the end and very quiet. It is large with lo...

The standard is set with this wonderful B&B! The grounds, the house, the rooms, the amenities (including fresh cookies in the room every day), the food, and the hosts are above and beyond anyone could ever expect. I would give it a ten if possible. I can't say enough. Thank you so much, Bonnie and Phillip, for all of the thought and care given to your guests! CM

This was our first B&B experience and now we're hooked. We loved all the personal details, the friendliness of the proprietors and of course, the magnificent views! The breakfast was delicious and well-balanced and kept us full until mid-afternoon. Not a small feat, considering we were on the go all day!

I highly recommend this B&B and we hope to come back whenever we get the chance.

A fabulous B&B experience with hosts, Bonnie and Phillip, who attend to every detail. Beautiful gardens framed spectacular ocean views from our private and luxurious room. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in the area when we return!

We have been to many B&B's over the years and Sea Cliff Gardens is truly a standout, not least because of hosts and proprietors Phillip and Bonnie.

We arrived and were greeted by Phillip, who gave us a quick rundown of what the B&B had to offer, when breakfast was served, where the local Restaurant guide and menu's were (along with their personal recommendations), and local tourist information. Phillip then took us up to our room, explaining the many amenities available to the guests on the foyer on the 2nd floor (which includes a laptop for anyones use and a cabinet of simple things like toiletries you may have forgotten).

The room was beautifully decorated, very warm and welcoming and very comfortable. The whole house is furnished with antiques imported from Europe (the Dining Room table and hutch are amazing !) The in-room Jacuzzi for 2 was a welcome sight at the end of a busy day, and the fireplace was just the right touch. Grounds and gardens are lovely, the view is great and the overall peacefull nature of the 2-1/2 acre property is very relaxing.

The 2 breakfasts we had were both tasty and filling, and it's always fun to sit with people from other places and hear of their experiences and what they had planned or done with their day.

Bonnie and Phillip are wonderful hosts and they truly do make your stay here memorable. Both welcoming and informative, they were both quick to provide any information you asked for and would look it up if they didn't already know. Small touches have been thoughtfully provided, even down to things like towels in zip-lock bags out on the chairs at the front of the property to wipe off any moisture if they were wet.

A tip - we were somewhat surprised that dressing gowns/housecoats were not provided so if you use one yourself, make sure you take your own. Not usually an issue for us but it's nice to snuggle into a warm terry robe when you come out of the jacuzzi or shower .

This is a great B&B and I would not hesitate to recommend a visit to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway provided by wonderful hosts.

We so appreciate your fabulous feedback. Thanks to you, robes now grace the closets of each guestroom at Sea Cliff Gardens. Hope that someday you'll get the chance to wear one, snuggled in front of your fireplace after relaxing in the Jacuzzi! ~Bonnie

My wife and I stayed at the Sea Cliff Gardens B&B for 2 nights over Spring Vacation. Despite the rain all around, we barely got damp during the time we were there thanks to the micro climate of that area. The room was set up with attention to every detail and provided us a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the garden and the ships passing in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Bonnie not only did an amazing with the breakfasts, she was also a good resource for things to see and do in the area. We're already talking about going back and taking some friends this time for a biking holiday.

Room Tip: There's not a bad option in the entire place!
