“Amazing oasis ... truly a delightful B&B!”
Reviewed 1 July 2012

Sequim is a wonderful little community along the Washington penninsula. My wife and I decided to travel there for our 20th Anniversary. After extensive research, we chose the Sea Cliff Gardens for our stay. Their website does not do it justice. The grounds are gorgeous and the house (and housekeeping) immaculate. The view across the strait was stunning--both from the edge of the cliff-side gardens as well as our room. Breakfast highlights the experience ... delicious! Bonnie and Phillip are wonderful hosts and we look forward to a return visit. Most highly recommend!

We stayed at Sea Cliff Gardens following a cruise to Alaska and could not have been more pleased. The whole B & B was beautiful and is meticulously kept. The gardens were incredible and added immensely to the whole experience. The hosts Bonnie & Phillip were a delight. They were friendly and informative and were full of great suggestions for sites to see and wonderful restaurants. The breakfasts that Bonnie and Phillip served were second to none. The food was delicious and the presentations were delightful. Our room was beautiful and had views that just can't be beat. They anticipated and met our every need from the delicious cookies in our room each day to the luggage scales we needed when packing to leave.

I've stayed in a lot of bed and breakfast inns, but this one is definitely the most meticulously clean one I've ever seen. In addition to being friendly and a wonderful host, Bonnie must be a bit of a neat freak----which is great. The house was beautiful. The town is charming. The scenery from the bedroom windows was amazing. Gorgeous gardens! I definitely want to come back.

Room Tip: Sleep with the curtains open so you can see the view as you go to sleep and as you wake up. Fun to...

Hosts Bonnie and Phillip run a top-notch operation in Sequim (pronounced "squim"). It's very professionally run and yet we also felt like family. In addition to extensive amenities, fine breakfasts, gorgeous rooms and passionately-kept gardens we enjoyed easy-to-read maps showing local points of interest. Restaurant menus are also handy in the foyer. A library of DVDs, nature guides, and coffee table photo books help guests familiarize themselves with four seasons of Olympic beauty. Meandering through Bonnie's gardens was a treat each day, even when it was drizzly. (Colors are so crisp against a gray backdrop!) Sea Cliff Gardens is a convenient location from which to visit the picturesque towns and natural wonders on both sides of the northern peninsula. On one pleasant day we drove from 'home' to Lake Crescent where we hiked a trail reminiscent of the rain forests that would have been too far away for one day of peninsula-hopping. From there we continued on to Realto Beach to admire the sea stacks and enormous weathered logs. We enjoyed dinner in Forks....a town that has come to life since the filming of the Twilight series. Upon returning to Sea Cliff Gardens we borrowed a Twilight movie from the foyer library and enjoyed scenes from the area that we'd just visited...on our in-room DVD player. Did I mention that the housekeeping is immaculate? We felt so at home that, on check-out day, we drove off before remembering to leave a tip for the amazing hired helpers who keep everything spotless. We quickly returned to give due appreciation. Thank you, Bonnie and Phillip, for a most memorable holiday!

Bonnie and Phillip definitely know how to keep their guests happy! With the amazing grounds (Bonnie does beautiful work in her gardens) and the view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca, who could not fall in love with this place. We were given binoculars to enjoy the most exquisite sunsets and the eagles that sometimes soar above. The breakfasts were very filing and quite delicious. Tips about the olympic peninsula were given over breakfast which was nice to plan our adventures during the day. Thanks to such wonderful owners who made us feel like family!!

My husband and I stayed at The Sea Cliff Gardens in May as part of our two week trip to the Pacific Northwest. We had never stayed in a B & B before, so we were not sure what to expect. I do not know if this was a typical experience in the world of B&B's, but I don't think so. Bonnie and Phillip welcomed us into their beautiful home. We felt like we were visiting family, only it was better because Bonnie did the cooking. Her breakfasts were delicious and she went out of her way to make sure that individual eating preferences were honored. I do not eat red meat and Bonnie made sure to deliciously adjust her menu to meet my needs. The grounds were beautiful (we saw eagles flying in the backyard!) and the other guests were great. Bonnie, Phillip and the other guests were helpful with suggestions on things to do in the area. We did a fair amount of hiking and exploring. The only thing we would change is to stay a few days longer. As we were leaving, I told Bonnie that she ruined our future stays at other B&B's since I sincerely doubt the other B&B's will come close to competing with Sea Cliff Gardens.

My husband and I have stayed at many B & B's over the past 12 years, and this one is the absolute best! Bonnie and Phillip have thought of everything-a cabinet full of bottled water, assorted sodas, toiletries you might have forgotten, homemade cookies every day in your room, binoculars to enjoy the view from your huge window overlooking the "straights", popcorn, assorted teas, hot chocolates, and apple cider. The breakfast every morning was awesome! Bonnie does a very nice mix of fresh fruit (arranged beautifully), egg dish, pancakes, or french toast and breakfast meat. We were there for 6 days and did not have the same thing twice. Everything was so delicious! The inn is amazingly clean, white and bright. The bed was heavenly and the sheets were so soft. The garden was beautifully in bloom. Deer appear in the front yard, and eagles glide by the cliff. You can sit in the backyard by the cliff and watch the various ships cruise by. We can't wait to go back, but this time in the fall. Loved it!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Maria Thersea room. This room was on the end and very quiet. It is large with lo...
