"This is the Place" is an inspiring place to visit, you can't miss it, especially when you are familiar with lds history and the sacrifice the pioneers went through to get to this place.

“Something needs to be done”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

This place was very disappointing. Only about 20 percent of the buildings were open and there was weeds growing everywhere. The Brigham Young home and the monument were just covered with weeds. And in the middle of this historic park was a children's water park, what a joke. Someone needs to get there act together and clean this place up.

“Something to See”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

Needed something to kill time and went to this. We only did the free stuff, so basically walking around and looking at the statues. I learned a good amount about how the Mormon families migrated to the area and was surprised to learn about their treacherous walk. It held our attention for maybe an hour or so.

“Impressive Statue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014

While visiting Salt Lake City, we went to This is the Place Heritage park. It was a bit of a drive from the downtown area where we were staying. There was a fee to enter the old pioneer town so we did not go in. We walked around outside and looked at the statues and memorials. They were impressive with the main one being very tall and large. It would not make my Top 10 of places to visit in Salt Lake City area however I can not say anything negative about it either.
