We stayed there for a conference and the Hotel did quite a good job for this. It's a 10 minutes walk to the convention center (but not as close as the Hilton or the Marriott) which is super easy to find.

The service is good and the diverse breakfast locations are pretty nice.

Room Tip: Do NOT take a room which faces the street. I was there for the first night, but asked for another ni...

Pros:
LARGE room - I was shocked at how spacious it was
Comfortable bed
Nice linens
Large bathroom
Great walk-in shower
Lots of storage
Free WiFi
Little balcony
Free and convenient parking
Breakfast at the hotel was perhaps a little pricey, but utterly delicious!
Curtains actually overlapped a little to keep all light out

Cons:
Not enough electrical outlets
TV was not the best and very few channels came through

It has been 20 years since I last stayed at Little America, and recent renovations have markedly improved this older property.

I was lured back to the hotel by location and price $125 (two queens). Upon check-in, I was assigned to the Courtyard building. This is detached from the tower and lobby, and tends to show its 40+ year age from the outside. However, upon entering the hallways and then my room, I could tell that the building had been completely remodeled.

The room was large (about 400 sf), clean and well appointed. The bathroom was also large, with new tile and fixtures. HVAC was handled by a built-in (ceiling), thermostatically controlled unit that was virtually silent (unlike the noisy wall units in many mid-price hotels). Sound proofing was also good. While I did see other guests in the hall, I never heard anything during my two night stay.

The hotel is located adjacent to the light-rail station ("TRAX"), and is part of its "Free Zone" (no fare) to downtown, Temple Square, and the arena and convention centers.

The main hotel building (short outdoor walk) has a coffee shop and steak house. The breakfast buffet ($20) in the steakhouse was above-average compared to a Marriott Courtyard, or Embassy Suites.

I would definitely recommend this hotel

Room Tip: Courtyard and garden rooms are quieter than those facing the street.

We came for a conference and were very pleased. We were given a suite with a nice view of the city. Staff was very professional. The food served at conference was delicious & healthy. Check out time is noon, nice to be later. Thenonly complaint is we pales I'm parking garage & water was dripping down...it wasn't raining or snowing out. we took the train at night for a shopping trip to city center.

The Little America Hotel has rooms in two parts, the Towers and the Garden. I stayed in the Towers. I was there for a business meeting, but most of the guests were there to ski. The rooms are spacious, with plenty of lights, mirrors, storage space, and furniture, including a couch, a table, a desk, a dresser, and five chairs. There was a dressing room off the bathroom, with its own sink and a check of drawers, and the bathroom had an extra-sized bathtub. One of the best standard hotel rooms I've stayed in. The Hotel has several shops off the lobby, including one with a lot of groceries (great for families), and three places to eat---a snack bar in a room off the lobby with tables and chairs, and two dining rooms, one fancy, the other more informal. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. Another advantage is that the hotel is a half-block from the light-rail Trax Green Line, which goes to and from the Airport several times an hour, even on Sunday. The hotel is several blocks from the restaurant and shopping district. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the Towers.
