Stayed two nights and the staff excelled at providing great service. I was upgraded to a corner suite and really enjoyed the room during my two night stay. Rate is competitive for SLC market and the fact I could find a room on short notice was appreciated by this business traveler.

I recommend this Hyatt Place to the one in downtown SLC. No parking fees.

This was our first stay at a Hyatt Place and it won't be the last. Everything was done right, from the welcome at check-in to the check-out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was far more than what I would call a continental breakfast. There was a lovely patio just outside the breakfast room, a heated pool, a handy business center. The bedding was the most comfortable I have encountered in a hotel, and there was an L-shaped sofa and a large flat screen TV that could be viewed from the bed or the sofa. I really can't say enough about this hotel. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Great views from the 5th floor rooms.

Family of 4 spent one night here at the end of a 2-week trip. We were very grateful for the comfortable surroundings and good nights sleep. Airport shuttle was very convenient for returning the rental car and then getting back to SLC for morning flight. We did buy 'dinner' (sandwiches and soup) at the cafe since we just wanted to relax at that point. All were good to very good. Service was quick and friendly.
Wi-fi in room was adequate. Kids appreciated the large screen TV and channel selection. Plenty of room to spread out, one kid opted to sleep on the big couch and said it was comfortable. We were on the airport side of the hotel, and only heard the planes if we were listening for them.
Nice selection at breakfast. I usually don't like the pre-cooked egg type sandwiches but these were fine. Decent coffee, fresh fruit and pastries too. We will look for Hyatt Place again for family travel.

Our flight was delayed, so the airline put us up here for free. The shuttle arrived quickly, our room was clean and ready, and it was an easy and welcome transition after many delays at the airport. We didn't really use the cafe so I can't comment on the menu, but the continental breakfast was standard and fine for our needs. There was a small indoor pool (depth to 5 feet) that my daughters enjoyed. Everything was fairly quiet (not too busy) and seemed new. The room layout was a little odd but still nice. The newness helped make it an enjoyable stay and the staff was eager to please.

My king room at Hyatt Place was sleek, modern, and comfortable. An unusual feature was a very large modular sofa with ottoman which made it easy to kick back and relax in the room. The room also featured a large LCD TV with lots of inputs, a desk with adjustable chair, lots of useful storage shelves and drawers, a screen separator for bed and living area, and a refrigerator but no microwave. Bathroom was reasonable in size and had a large shower with sliding door. Internet was free but somewhat slow. The two computers in the business center were unusable. One was broken and the other was very slow at bringing up web pages. The complimentary breakfast was a cut above most with fresh fruit salads, freshly baked bread and pastries, cereals, yogurt, coffee and juices. Unfortunately the one protein was precooked eggs and thin slices of ham on slightly stale biscuits. Staff seemed anxious to please and offered a guided tour of the facilities. Definitely a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

I travel to SLC a couple times a year, and generally stay near Temple Square. I was flying in late on a Thurs night, so rates were at a premium downtown. I decided to stay near the airport since I wouldn't get to the hotel until nearly midnight, and just needed a bed.

Hyatt Place looked new, and hate a great rate....VERY glad I did. As luck would have it my flight didn't land until 1am, and by the time I got bags and rental car it was 1:30am. The Hyatt Place was about 5 minutes from airport, very easy to see off highway, easy to find. Very well lit, so no concerns about arriving in middle of night. Checked in....very nice room, really liked the floor plan. Almost a mini living room with huge sectional couch. Bed is screened off so almost seemed private.

Only complaint would be noise from hallway....doors need to be better insulated. Also, the air conditioning unit was next to the bed and VERY loud.

Didn't get up early enough for breakfast......

Room Tip: Could hear a bit of noise from Highway as I was in a room that faced the road.

This hotel is very convenient to the airport. We found it very quiet even though it is very near the highway and the airport. They serve meals in the lobby (for a fee) and have breakfast. We found a great place nearby to gas up the car before we returned it.

Breakfast was a little crowded, but there were a few groups traveling and it is hard to predict when everyone will want to eat. We would stay here for an early morning SLC departure or late night return. It is a great place to rest.
