Ony stayed one night (unfortunately) in July w/ wife wife and small child. I requested early check in and was surprised they had our room ready at 11AM!!! Very attentive and courteous staff. From the lobby to the room everything was clean nicely decorated. Big bathrooms with pleanty of space was great. Bedroom space also nice and big. Flat screen tv and comfortable beds made it llike home. Location could not have been better.... Walking distance from just about everything. Don't feel like walking - take the trolley. Beautiful city with plenty to do. Wish we had more time to stay.....

At the last minute we made a reservation for a Salt Lake City getaway. The Marriott City Center was just as one expects from a Marriott, i.e. everything is great. The staff was friendly, and the room was very nice.

This hotel is conveniently located at the edge of City Center. Within 3 blocks of most restaraunts, etc. The rooms were very clean and contemporary. Had a few beers in the bar, with the service being excellant

August 2009. We had the opportunity to spend multiple nights at the Marriott City Center when business required us to be in the area. The hotel is around the business district of downtown SLC. There is daily valet charge at this property. I will say that this was the best group of valets I have seen in a long time. Great service, friendliness and helpfulness.

Check-in was fast and we King rooms as guaranteed. My room was on one of the Concierge levels. rate was near $100.00 per night, using a group discount.

Our was comfortable and standard Marriott decorated. The bed was comfortable Both feather and foam pillows were available. Lighting in the room was very good with lamps on both sides of the bed, on the desk, and a floor lamp. read. The work desk was large and the office-style chair functional. Our room had a sofa and a comfortable arm chair.

There was a new LCD flat screen . The TV was had a lot of cable channels as well as a wide selection of pay-per-view movies. I looked at some previews and costs per movie seemed to be between $12 and $15. High-speed Internet service had a charge of $9.95 per day. I used the broadband connection on my phone instead.

The bathroom was clean. Lighting was good, the towels were plentiful, and the shower worked well – immediate hot water with plenty of pressure. Bath amenities include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and mouthwash.

The concierge lounge is on the 12th floor. The concierge lounge offered a hot appetizer, a variety of cheese and crackers, fruit and drinks. Wine at the honor bar was $4.00 per glass, very reasonable. The breakfast buffet featured scrambled eggs, hot oatmeal, and all the other things you would expect on a light breakfast buffet.

The hotel public areas were clean and well-kept, but could use an updating to the style of the rooms.
The hotel has a large indoor swimming pool and hydrotherapy spa. Next to, and with windows looking onto the pool, is a very complete exercise room. All of the exercise equipment seemed to work fine. There is also a sauna and steam room accessible from the pool area.

The onsite restaurant featured great service and reasonably priced food. There is also a Starbucks on the property and across the street is a Carl's Jr. Fast Food restaurant.

The only real hiccup was there was no newspaper delivered to our door whereas other patrons had newspapers delivered to their door. Marriott does adverstise this but this did not happen to us. We just picked up a newspaper in the conciere lounge but next time we'll call the front desk.

Next time we visit SLC, we will either stay here or try the Marriott Downtown, just to be closer to Temple Square.

If your looking for a centrally located property that is clean, offers good service and is reasonably priced, we can recommend this property when in SLC.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the start and end of our 2 week trip to Utah. It was a good quality, very pleasant hotel, the staff were welcoming and helpful with the couple of queries we had. The restaurant was good for breakfast, the pool/gym areas were better than most hotels I've stayed in and the room (kingsize) was a good size and confortable to stay in.
Recommended.
