My husband and I took our 9 year old daughter to "Horses on the beach" for her first horseback riding experience. We both felt that the staff was unorganized, and not very friendly. We as the customers, do not have much experience with horses, for the most part. I felt that the staff was easily irritated with us not being able to control their horses. It is their job to show us how to do so, and if we are unable to the first time, then show us again ! Keep in mind that most of the people in our group were children. The man who was leading the group very rudely snapped at a couple of customers for "letting" their horse eat, and also turn around. I felt that he could have been much more gracious, and helpful as opposed to tallking to us like we're idiots. I also didnt like the fact that they didnt organize the families and somehow keep them together. My daughter was way behind my husband and I with strangers, and her horse was a little on the crazy side. At one point trying to kick the horse behind her with her back legs. Naturally, my daughter was crying and very afraid !
Though the horses were beautiful, and once we got on the beach it was a sight to see. All in all, I just feel that as paying customers who don't ride horses on a daily , or even monthly basis... we could've been treated a lot better.
