The hotel was close to SPID and the Crosstown. Was easy and fast to get anywhere in the Corpus Christi area. Rooms were clean and large. Staff accomodating. Would recommend and stay there again.

This is the perfect hotel for families of four or more who want a clean place to stay and good value for their money in a beach town where accomodations are sometimes well-worn. However, it was the superior service that really made it shine! We arrived at 2:00 PM--an hour before check-in time, but "Jinny" (maybe it was "Ginny") not only went out of her way to find us a room but gave us one with a pull-out sofa sleeper that was an upgrade! As we were leaving the hotel at 3:00 she brought out warm cookies which really put smiles on the kids' faces.

Although the happy hour drinks were omitted in deference to veterans honored on Memorial Day (a classy touch), the following evening one bartender and one under training made just about any well drink we could think of, and they were delicious!

The breakfasts were very good, although we had to alert the staff to re-stock the fruit bowl and hash brown tray. The malted-batter waffles were especially tasty.

The outdoor salt-water pool was a refreshing change and the hot tub water chemistry was nearly perfect as there were very little suds with the jets on.

On the third day we checked out and asked Jinny to hold on to our luggage while we went to the marina. She was very accomodating and she even called me to tell me my UPS package had arrived.

This hotel is located at one of the first exits off the highway as you enter the city and was near mostly fast-food restaurants and gas stations, a Sam's Club and, as I recall, a grocery store. It was about 35 minutes away from Mustang Island. There was some highway noise outside the hotel, but we rested peacefully in our room. The hotel was very clean although we noted the carpets felt damp to our feet--possibly from the cool air conditioning bringing in hot humid air from outside. When we felt them with our hands, they were totally dry--must have been an illusion.

This hotel was much better than we expected for the rate we paid. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The upgraded rooms come with a pull-out sofa sleeper and a second TV for the kids--worth the upgrade price, if you ask me.

I was a single woman travelling with 2 teenage girls.

Plus - they honored my request & made sure we were in a room close to the office. room # 102 to be exact
Plus - hard to beat the prepay rate of 75 dollars a night for 2 double bed suite
Plus - Check in smooth, complimentary cookies
Plus - updated exterior of hotel
Minus - blower going on the hallway carpet for the first 24 hours, strange smell, possibly
cleaner? not really unpleasant, but certainly smelly. the room itself smelled fine ...but if
it had smelled like the entire hallway we would not have stayed...
Minus - room was large enough for 2 double beds, but suite was somewhat of a stretch, small
couch was not even as large as a normal loveseat....
Plus - computer desk was nice, tv & stand, microwave & small refrigerator all good
Plus/Minus - The room was freezing cold ..we actually raised the temperature on the unit as far
as 84...but it NEVER stopped running. My hubby would have loved it but the girls &
I froze!
Plus - Location is very nice. next to a lubys, in front of a Sam's ...Walmart conveniently located
across the highway. Easy to jump on SPID to head down to the beach or the crosstown
expressway to head downtown, plenty of nearby fastfood & sitdown restaurants...
Plus - pool was nice - see picture
Minus - we had checked in & immediately headed out for our tennis tournament. coming back
later that night & securing the room, i was somewhat distressed to notice 2 things 1) the
door lock thing was broken off & 2) it appeared that someone had pried the screen
above the ac unit in an attempt to get in the room (see pictures)
Plus - nice office area available with 2 desktop computers & a printer. I was able to actually
use one of the computers quickly & easily to confirm an email that needed to be taken
care of asap. (sorry did not connect to the hotels wifi with any of my own devices)
Plus - HOT breakfast was good & changed from day 1 to day 2....one day egg omelet, bacon,
with usual choices of cereal, bagels, hot waffle etc....next day sausage, egg, biscuits &
gravy with usual choices of cereal etc..
Minus - was a small roach in the bathroom area the first morning..didn't mention it to the girls but
was surprized to see it none the less.
Minus - Bed & pillows were very hard to me. I know the usual complaint is that matresses are
saggy, but truly these beds are like new or something...as they have very little give in
them. I can handle that, I just wish the pillows would not have been quite so firm.

The front driveway of the hotel was being worked on both days...it looks like someone was putting some serious money into making a very intricate driveway brick pattern. Obviously this hotel is still a slight diamond in the rough but it is easily the best deal I found in Corpus. Aside the weird lock break/window screen I felt completely safe in the parking lot & hotel itself.

Room Tip: lower floor rooms have best access to ice machines, exercise room , pool & business center.

Me and my family(2 children) just stayed here 6 nights. It was great from the check-in to the last day. Very close to chain resturaunts, luby's (right next door),Sam's Club(directly behind). Breakfast was great something different every morning, as well as bagels, waffles, fresh fruit and yogurt. The pool was very clean. Room did smell a little like mildew but not too bad.Housekeeping was great about cleaning when WE wanted it done. I would definitely recommend this Hotel, and will stay again!
