I am a Colorado native, now living in Texas. Tex-Mex, to me, is not very good. I love a good, hot and spicy chili verde with huge chunks of pork, and not soupy tomatillo, which is all you get here in Texas. But Yoli's has given me hope that small bastions of real Mexican can be found here in South Texas. Their Carne Guisada Taco with Cheese (gotta have that cheese they are renown for) and pico de gallo, are the best guisada tacos I've ever had. The soft flour tortilla with the melted cheese and abundant gravy make these a gooey mess, but oh so good that gravy on your shirt and pants is well worth it. If you plan on eating these on the road on your way to Padre Island, take a roll of paper towels and keep your smile, as you just had the Best Carne Guisada in the World. Don't forget to add the side salsa from the plastic cups they throw in the bag. Adds great flavor.....so ask for extra salsa for sure. And all this for $3?? I love Yoli so much....hope its a girl :)
