From 6am to 3pm, 7 days a week, PRICE'S CHEF AT SIX POINTS is the place to eat in Corpus Christi. Breakfast is served all day long and is very reasonably priced. Just try the PRICE'S OMELETTE, named after Dan Price who started the place, and you will never eat another omelette anywhere else. The enchiladas and other Mexican food dishes are gr8 and the steaks are tender and cooked to your liking. Daily specials range up to about $8 and are fantastic. Just try the Monday New England Boiled Dinner and be taken to heights of culinary joy and satisfaction. THE GENIUS today had the tuscana soup, King Ranch chicken w/ two sides, and banana pudd'n for 'zert, along w/ iced tea. Tax and all, less than $10. I had a cup of soup and a glass of iced tea and, tip and all, my tab was just under $5. You will find PRICE'S prices hard to beat and the food is fantastic, too. One thing that Dan Price always insisted upon and Luis Guerrero, the new owner keeps going, is the atmosphere, which is kind of a retro-WWII décor. Also you will NEVER hear any unkind words from the waitpersons or anybody else who works there for a decent, peaceful, family-oriented atmosphere is insisted upon. Besides all that, there are folks like THE GENIUS, my stock-and-financial-advisor, Brandon Bowman, who eat there at least 3 and maybe more times a week, and Uncle Al Reagan (again, NOT my uncle, just what everybody calls him) of BOWMAN AND REAGAN CPA whose office is right across Alameda St., lunches there five days a week, which ought to say something for the place. The regulars are too numerous to count but on any given day, Sundays included, the joint is really jumping and packed with hungry people who know good food and great service. IF YOU PLAN A TRIP TO THE SPARKLING CITY BY THE SEA, CORPUS CHRISTI, PLAN PRICE'S CHEF AT SIX POINTS INTO YOUR GPS AND ITENERARY. You will be glad you did.
