We stayed over Memorial Day weekend for a short family vacation. We were able to check in to our room early - about 1:30pm. We had booked a King oceanview room and asked to be situated close to our friends who traveled with us. We were directly across the hall from them, which was great. We were on the 4th floor.
Our oceanview window gave us a great view of the beach across the street (past the Holiday Inn). If you are sensitive to noise at night, the music from the Holiday Inn in these rooms may be a problem, but it doesn't bother us. I would guess it stops somewhere between 11-12am.
Our room was large and comfortable for the 3 of us. Very typical of a Comfort Suites with a pull-out couch in the living area. The WiFi wasn't great - you couldn't do much beyond surfing a few websites and checking your email. I attribute this to the full occupancy of the hotel over the holiday.
The location makes it very easy to walk across the street to the beach. You are allowed to walk through the Holiday Inn parking lot and down to the water. The showers aren't all that close, but there are 2 showers next to the pool at the hotel where you can wash off some of that sand.

We had an issue on our 2nd day with housekeeping. We got back to our room by 2:45 and our room was still not made up. We saw her next door and she said she would get to us after 4. No problem - our daughter was going to take a quick nap and we were headed out to the beach. When we got back at 5pm, our room had barely been vacuumed (as evidenced by the sand still remaining on the floor), towels had been replaced and the bed had been made. No trash had been emptied and both trash cans had been full. I can overlook housekeeping for beds/sheets/etc, but I'd really like the trash taken out - those small things fill up fast!
My only other minor complaint was the lack of a bathtub in the king room. This hotel obviously attracts families, so I'm not sure why there was an oversight in the bathtub decision making! That said, our friends in a 2 queen room DID have a bathtub.
Breakfast was good every morning. Hot, fresh and the staff was constantly making sure everything was in stock. He was very helpful. Breads/pastries/cereal, eggs, biscuits, sausage/bacon, waffles, etc. It was always crowded but manageable.
The cost is a big high, but I recognize that is because of the location. Beware there is ONE way in and out of this hotel on the island and traffic can back up...More
