“Stress free charm in a great location!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Clean, Convenient, Safe!!! Centrally located and close to EVERYTHING!!! Well-maintained and managed, the Downtown Bed and Breakfast is secure and combines high tech with the best of yesterday. Breaking Bad fans will enjoy its close proximity to most set locations being 10-15 minutes away. Downtown is 5 minutes away as is Nob Hill and Old Towne is about 10 minutes away. The location is very close to the I40/I25 interchange for quick easy access to anywhere in Albuquerque. The backyard area is quiet, calm and perfect for unwinding after that UNM sporting event or an Isotopes ballgame and features a waterfall and a covered area for hosting weddings. A star itself, this bed and breakfast has been the filming production location for many TV series including CRASH, In Plain Sight, Discovery Channel and HGTV. Next to the Downtown B&B is the Spy House Bed and Breakfast (same management) which has historical significance related to the Atomic Bomb and the Rosenberg spy scandal and hosts Dinner Murder Mysteries. The Gold room of the Spy House features a king-size bed, separate sitting area and a private bathroom as well as s private entrance. Certainly, you can spend less money for something less clean and far away from everything as you burn up the money you think you are saving out of your gas tank and waste more time getting to where you are going.

Room Tip: Thee is no "bad" room in this bed & breakfast. This place is comfortable and safe!

We had our wedding here in June and everything was taken care of. We live an hour away and Lindsey made our wedding planning so nice and stress free we were really able to enjoy our day. Even through difficult times in her own life she came through for us to give us the most perfect day we could have ever asked for! Steve and Kara were so wonderful and accommodating of the entire family staying there for the weekend. They made everything go so smoothly and we really appreciated it all. Overall such a great place to have a wedding and we will definitely stay there in the future! Thanks for the wonderful experience.

These guys used the good sense to invest in some WONDERFUL beds for their guests! The rooms have individual AC control, and are SUPER comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and had local flavor without being too much for out of state visitors! I would stay here again even if I wasn't doing the murder mystery event!

Steve and Kara were wonderful hosts. The B&B was beautiful, perfect setting for our wedding. Lindsey the event planner was also a pleasure to work with and I felt completely comfortable putting
my big day in her hands. The houses themselves are beautifully decorated, the beds soft, and the breakfast was delicious.Of all the thijngs that made Downtown Historic
the perfect venue, my favorite thing about it was the affordable price. It was twice the substance of all the other
similar places and half the price.I would suggest this B&B to anyone looking for a wedding venue or just a charming historical place stay when visiting Albuquerque.

We stayed in Heritage House (Ivy Room). Very conveniently located property. We checked in really late (mid night) and had a little trouble getting inside the room, but they were really prompt to pick up the phone at the dead of the night and help us get in. Staff are super friendly. Absolutely loved the breakfast. Overall, It was an awesome experience.

Room Tip: Ivy room has a nice balcony.

We stayed here over the weekend and had a great time. Check-in was pretty simple. The owners own a couple of houses all right next to eachother so all the houses share the same nice backyard. We stayed in the Rosenberg room which is really nice, has a comfy bed and a private bathroom. I had a group of friends from work drive 4 hours to Albuquerque to do the Murder Mystery Dinner at the Spy House. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it. You need a minimum of 16 people to do the private dinner and everyone I spoke to from my group had a blast. The hosts were great, there is a ton of history to the house (this was where the Russian spies stayed who sold the secrets to the atomic bomb).

Steve & Kara were great hosts. The check in was easy and smooth. The Room was very clean and very spacious! Nice view from our balcony and the guests were all polite. The massages we had with our package were very relaxing. The dinner at Artichoke Café was delicious and we were in and out in an hour and a half on Valentines day! Breakfast the next morning was delicious and to enjoy it with the guests who had participated in the murder mystery dinner the night before really topped off the whole experience! Every couple near and far should spend some time here with a loved one.
