As we had booked a Route 66 trip as a package the hotels were part of the deal and given the theme of this hotel I can understand why they have chosen this one.
However it was not the kind of place we would normally have chosen to stay at. The hotel is quite a long way outside of Albuquerque and we would have preferred to stay closer to the city to be honest, although the rooms were clean and comfortable.
But the gambling element is a bit cheesy for us it was not really my cup of tea.
Some of the staff at check in were quite rude and unhelpful, we were scheduled to stay 2 nights and I was very tempted to cut it short and head on to Gallup and pay for an extra night rather than stay here for the two - we didn't move on early in the end but I wish I had!More
