We stopped here when we were traveling through Albuquerque. As I've always found, TripAdvisor knows best. The room we had was phenomenal for the money, the front-desk was extremely friendly, and the breakfast was everything I hoped it would be.

Traveling from central Kansas to Arizona during the holidays is challenging enough....but doing it to attend the funeral of a beloved family member just makes it harder. Choosing the Sandia Peak Inn Motel was primarily to accommodate our budget, and previous reviews certainly helped. Best decision we've made on this trip!

Greeted by Kay, mgr/owner, was the first of many pleasant surprises. Friendly and anxious to make our stay a pleasant one, we found her to be one to go the extra mile. We had reserved a 'regular' room, but asked about the jacuzzi tub, only to find it is in the $100 room. Out of our price range, we opted to stay with the reserved room. It was then, that she was willing to meet us in the middle, offering the jacuzzi room for $79.50. We took it! We were tired, sore and unsettled, due to the loss of our loved one, so that tub was looking very good!

The only place I have ever stayed that was as sparkling clean as this one was when we were in Germany....a very high end resort. The room was excellent, completely stocked with needed items, and very delightful. Breakfast was far better than the expected 'continental breakfast' advertised. A great selection, which even included waffles!

Back to the room, I discovered that my charge card had been charged the full amount of the room. We had been so pleased so far, that while I wasn't upset, I went to the office to let them know. Immediately as I entered the office area, Kay greeted me with the awareness of the mistake (which already had been addressed). In keeping with the incredible customer service this motel offers, they not only corrected the error, but refunded us even more than the error. Who Does That?!

So now we are headed back to Kansas, via Denver, and once again have a reservation for the Sandia Peak Inn Motel. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: The jacuzzi tub is awesome!!

We stayed at this hotel last night and were very pleasantly surprised.
It is an older hotel that has been updated. The rooms are plenty large enough. It was spotlessly clean and freshly painted. It had a great large flat screen TV, a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was soft well padded and very comfortable with nice pillows. The in room heater was quiet unlike some places I have stayed. The decor is Southwestern. It is older but fits the style of the hotel and adds character. The shower which is very clean had great water pressure and soft fluffy large towels.
The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. There is a laundry if you need one and breakfast includes hot waffles, breads, juices, fresh fruit, and basic breakfast items. If I were to return to Albaqurque, I would look up this hotel amd stay there again. Great hotel, great price.

Let's start with the location.... It is in a location which allows easy travel to many of the best things to see in Albuquerque. Old Town is literally straight up the street less than a mile. The botanical gardens, the aquarium, and many other neat places are close. If skiing Sandia Peak, you just hop on I-40 east and go about 12 miles to exit 175. Turn left up the mountain and follow the signs. (30 minutes tops) Rooms..... The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast.... A great breakfast with a nice variety. Fruit, yogurt, waffles, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, juices, coffee, and more. Friendliness.... This is where you want to be if you like smiles in the morning. Check-in was wonderful. Linda is the sweetest lady and takes good care of all the guests. She is a fan of the same pro football team as we are, and she was a delight to talk football with! Overall, JUST STAY HERE!

It was a very clean and had big rooms, the owners were super nice, great price for accommodations, close to Bob's spicy Mexican hamburgers. Doesn't look like best neighborhood but was very safe! The owners are a real American Dream.
