Based on the reviews I was disappointed. Overly accommodating, friendly owner. Property looked clean, but the lighting in the room was so poor we really could not tell.
Limited extras and beakfast. Unfortunately the price I paid was higher than the one quoted when my reservaton was made. Not in a good area.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sandia Peak Inn. The owner is extremely nice and sweet. I loved the rooms. They were very nice, spacious and clean. They even had a small refridgerator and a microwave. I always find that to be a nice luxury in a room. So if you are ever traveling to Albuquerque, this is definately a great place to stay.

Over labor day weekend we went to Albuquerque and wanted to stay in the heart of the city. I read good reviews online about Sandia Peak Inn and then decided to book a reservation there. Our trip turned out to be a nice little affordable getaway and the hotel stay was wonderfully located near Old Town, The Zoo, Aquarium and restaurant hot spots. At check in, the host was so friendly and accomodating to our family needs. Her staff made sure we also had extra towels and were polite. The room was very clean and the beds were not to fluffy soft nor to hard, but comfortable. There is a continental breakfast, for guests who want a quick bite too.

The good: Very friendly owner; rooms are new, clean and well-equipped; good/standard breakfast for a motel; not very far from Albuquerque's Old Town; outstanding value.

The bad: Not a thing.

Verdict: The amenities and service at this motel are really above average, especially when compared to the price you pay.

Stayed at the motel for a quick one-night trip to Albuquerque. The owner was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean. We used the pool. It was small and mostly one depth. The continental breakfast was convienent for our quick trip.

We made a last minute reservation at the Sandia Peak Inn and the owner was more than accommodating. We also arrived quite late and again the owners were again very accommodating. Everything about the Sandia Peak Inn is great. It's clean, comfortable, well taken care of, an excellent value, and you can feel the personal welcome as soon as you arrive. The owners really care about their business and the hotel. It's in an older neighborhood in the city, but the location did not bother us a bit. The hotel is secured by a large iron gate that the owners close at night. It was extremely quiet and peaceful when we were there. They even serve a continental breakfast in the morning with great coffee! We would stay here anytime.

The Sandia Peak Inn was a wonderful little gem in the middle of Albuquerque. Our room was nice and clean and Kay, the owner, was nothing but friendly. I traveled with my friend and we had a nice, clean room with two double beds for $60 which is a great price. Plus, we were a 5 minute drive from the ABQ Biological Park (Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Aquarium) and about 10 - 12 minutes from the old plaza and University of New Mexico. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to New Mexico for business or pleasure. It is a fantastic deal.
