I stayed here for business for two nights in July 2014. The hotel and casino used to be a Hard Rock but it has now reverted back to Isleta. The overall stay wasnt bad and the hotel and room facilities were ok but there were little bits here and there that could used improving. Perhaps it was because I stayed right after a large tattoo festival but the entire facility smelled like smoke. Even the hallways and rooms seemed to be saturated by it. My tub was clogged so the first morning I took a shower in a few inches of water that would not drain. I was coughing a lot and thought it might have been from lingering smoke but I noticed a lot if lint and other particles accumulated on my computer screen after just an hour. I am thinking the air system was overloaded from the weekend. The front desk was responsive to the tub issue, the restaurants and service was very good.

The rooms do have an outdated feel as other reviewers have mentioned, but I think its more that they are getting a bit run down. It isnt shoddy just looked used. If some proper attention was given to fixing up the place and installing air filters it could be the facility to go to for meetings and leisure however it does have a way to go until it could beat Sandia Casino.

Pros: close to Albuquerque but not in the city so there is a sense of being away but close enough to hit the town if needed. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms are nice. Free wireless. Food and service was very good. Great rates.

Cons: Only one elevator working when I was there. No easy access for stairs so even if you are on the second floor you have to use the elevator. Needless to say the line for the elevators was long. Front desk check in was spotty. Only one desk person was on duty most of the time and lines would form quickly. Rooms look worn and the walls are thin. I could hear the person in the room next to mine cough and flush the commode at all hours.

Room Tip: Ask for a west facing room.

I don't really have anything that negative to say about the place. The housekeepers certainly do not deep clean the room when staying night to night. The furniture is outdated but is good for what you need. There isn't a desk area if you are planning on working in the room and there is no fridge.

The food at Chile Ristra was very good especially for the price. The people here are very friendly and that goes for the entire casino. It is what you make of it.

There is a smoke smell but nothing like in the older hotels of Vegas. I never smelled it in the room and we were on the 5th floor.

Room Tip: I would say the higher you can get the better. We were not bothered at all by the noise, being a ca...

We stayed here one night and attended a concert on property. Our room on the sixth floor was quite nice and clean, with tasteful decor. While other travelers have complained about noise and cigarette smoke, we did not experience this at all. The room had a safe and coffee maker, but no refrigerator.

The concert venue was nice, Each seat had a decent view and it was small enough that there were no bad seats. As for the casino, I am not much of an authority on that topic, so I have no comment. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would return if we wanted to attend another concert.

Why not five stars? Two things: We arrived well before check-in time and I stopped by the front desk just in case the room was ready early. The woman at the desk was not exactly friendly as she lectured me on the appropriate check-in time. Jeesh! I was just asking. . . And a heads-up to those who always carry firearms for personal protection, this property does not allow firearms anywhere, not even locked in your room safe. This means you have to lock them in your car, which technically isn't allowed, either, if you are in their parking lot. I find this a bit unreasonable, especially in New Mexico.

Room Tip: Get a room on one of the highest floors to avoid the smell of smoke.

Had a adult night out with my wife. We picked Isleta and loved it. The room was huge with a great bathroom and soaking tub. We stayed on a Friday night and it was about 200 cheaper than Sandia. I also liked the gaming floor. The bar was central and you didnt have to wait in line to get in. A few steps from the tables to the bar, quick bar service and quick back to the tables.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the bigger room

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel as everything about it is well done. The room we stayed in had a balcony that was good size and comfortable. The room was really big as was the bathroom. My wife used the pool everyday while we stayed there while I made donations to the Indians in the casino. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies are larger and very nice.

We were fortunely able to get a room at the resort on our way through Albuquerque. After traveling hours from Colorado we arrived at the snappy clean facility. We spoke with Vera to book our reservation and she made no mistakes. .upon checking in we visited with Deborah and she had excellent customer service skills and a humor. The resort was not inexpensive, but after you walk through and see the amenities it is worth a try and few extra dollars. You might even win enough in the casino to pay for the room. We enjoyed the dinner at the BowTie..salads on chilled plates hot soups variety pastas and hot fresh breads. The casino has better ventilation than many and there are hundreds of slots.
There are non-smoking rooms and free soft drinks and coffee.
The pool is pretty and we'll maintained it has an ajoined indoor and outdoor with glass.
The rooms have pillow top beauty rest beds and goose down comforters. Modern bathroom and an I phone hub. Flats teen TV and keuring coffee to get it started..
If we were there longer I would have liked to go to the spa.

Definitely liked the resort- they need to do something about the cigarette stench that lingers throughout the entire hotel- even the non smoking rooms on non-smoking floors. The pool is a little small and is shallow but still nice. Decent rooms- clean and the beds were comfortable. Hotel is a little far away from everything else in the city.
