“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 7 May 2012

This is a GREAT hotel! Front desk staff were super nice, rooms were nice and clean (except we had a moth infestation, which I think was only from the sand storm earlier that day). Excellent location, close to UNM and Old Town.
I will definitely stay here again next year!

Stephanie A,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I believe we are a GREAT hotel too! Our team members make all the difference in each day and each guests stay. The moths did invade the city for a few days, according to the news it was because of our warm temperatures.
We look forward to seeing you again next year on your visit to Albuquerque!

The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly. The only concern I had was it is located in a older part of town. The parking lot is open so kids take short cuts thru the lot. We didn't have any problems but make sure you don't leave anything in your car.

My husband and I and another couple stayed at this hotel for six nights while visiting Albuquerque. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, we really enjoyed our stay. The clerks at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. We asked Toni about nearby restaurants and were given great tips on where to eat. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was fully stocked with a variety of food and the breakfast room hostess was friendly and polite. This hotel is conveniently located just across the street from The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center - a must see. We would definately recommend this Holiday Inn Express!

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor facing the mountains to the east. We had a great view!

While on a recent trip we stumbled upon this HI express. We were planning on an overnight stay, but the hotel was so nice and the staff were so pleasant and accommodating, that we extended our stay another day. If we weren't on our way back from our actual vacation, we would have stayed another day! Their recommendations for dinner, the old town area, and the hotels location were all superb. If you're traveling through, you can't go wrong with this one! The general manager and the lady she was training (who will be operating the hotel in Gallup) were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. They were very familiar with the area and gave wonderful recommendations on activities and eateries!

We made a reservation at this Holiday Inn Express at the last minute when we decided to go a bit further on a road trip and stop in Albuquerque instead of Gallup. The hotel was just a block off the interstate, extremely easy to find and convenient. It appeared to be almost brand new. The desk clerk was very helpful and friendly, got us checked in quickly. The room was great, two good beds, and a roomy bathroom. It was quiet too, which was a nice surprise since it was next to the elevator and to the exercise room. Very convenient to Old Town restaurants. Will stay here again next time through!

We were highly satified with our stay of 2 nights over a weekend. I have absolutely no complaints. We came to Abq via Amtrak just to visit Old Town. We arrived late afternoon and were greeting by 2 staff at the desk. They welcomed us and wished us "Happy Anniversary" as this was a special trip for us. We were given a room on the 3rd floor looking east at the mountains. The room was an upgrade to a suite, and after entering the room we discovered a wonderful gift basket. My spouse was suprised and it was great to see his reaction to the room. We will never forget this vacation! Because we were without a car, we took the city bus to Old Town on Saturday. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Public transportation may not be for everyone, but with an open mind it is fine. We never felt unsafe, even with a few panhandlers.
We enjoyed the breakfasts each day. We loved the large bright eating area, lots of tables and sitting area's. We used the exercise room and loved the nice equipment. Better than most of the previous places we have stayed at. We did not use the pool area, but it appeared nice.
I highly recommend this hotel. It was one of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed at.

Doggy1,

Thank you so much for your review of our hotel. I am glad that you were able to have a great experience of Albuquerque. I agree with you on the city bus. It is a great option for someone without a car (great price and convenient). I hope you all enjoyed your anniversary and the beauiful view of our majestic mountains, we were happy to provide the upgrade. I will be sure to forward your comments to our team. Hope to see you on your next trip to Albuquerque!
