“Hard to beat for price/cleanliness”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

We have stayed here 3-4 times. Very clean rooms and good sized. Considering the price point ($75) it is hard to beat. Also, the front office staff are well trained and very courteous. Everything in the room worked. I am surprised at the negative reviews. Breakfast is OK...again it was $75 a night. What do you expect? Location is just off i-25 and very convenient.

This was part of a cross country trek from PA to AZ. We had stayed in five previous rooms and while the room was clean this place just didn't measure up. The place was clean but the breakfast was meager and the location was basically in an office park so getting in and out was good but going for food was an event. It was just a combination of middling factors that just made the stay OK but you would be better to spend your money at a better location.

First room with double beds had not been cleaned. Relocated to a king size room where I had to share bed with my 12 year old nephew. Was not given complimentary water for elite members upon check-in. Shower did not drain ankle deep in water. VERY firm Cushie pillow top bed.

We needed a place to stay in Albuquerque as we passed through, and trusted La Quinta to have a certain standard, in addition to allowing us to stay with our pet. When we arrived early in the afternoon, we found our reserved room had an unbearable moldy smell, and an obvious wet stain in the carpet several feet around the bathroom sink (why carpet there anyway?). To escape the moldy stench, we thought to spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool, but NO, the pool was closed with the only explanation on a sign on the registration desk about work going on. We complained to the management about our room, and to La Quinta's credit, the clerk on duty moved us to another room which was marginally better-still pretty dirty but no moldy stench. The site manager never responed to our complaint while we were there. We finally wrote to La Quinta's national Customer Service and received a nice apology. This property is not up to La Quinta standards, and I would not recommend it until the corporation invests in some rehabilitation such as a sink/counter top design that does not funnel water onto a carpet surface.

Clogged toilet WHEN we arrived. Security Guard came to unclogged was not happy at all. Soured shower curtain. Bottom of bath tub was dirty. Dirty carpet and tile. Hair on bathroom floor. Trash on carpet under tables. Very thin walls. Someone was banging on a door at 6:00 in the morning. This place is not what your would expect from a La Quinta! Old and run down. Do not stay here.

The Staff is fantastic. Fun loving and informative. The rooms have recently been redone, it seems that the owner really cares about the property. Met her during our last stay.
We look forward to staying there again. Only wish is that they would offer MSNBC.

Not up to the usual very-good La Quintas. Our room had dirty cleaning rags left behind, a lumpy bed (probably caused by ill-fitting linens), a big glob of some food or something stuck to the carpet, despite the sopping-wet carpet which should indicate a clean carpet. We did not discover the wetness of the carpet until we were completely unpacked and removed our shoes. They did offer to move us to another floor, but we are seniors, one of us disabled, and that would have been difficult for us, especially at the late hour. The wet carpet caused difficulty in the morning, with the carpet cleaner residue on our feet, the shower was scarily slippery. We gave feedback to the hotel in the survey of the visit and received an e-mail of apology, but they offered no compensation. Despite great visits at other La Quintas, we will have to be desperate to try it again.
