“Amazing hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

The staff were wonderful, so helpful in avery way. They could advise about restaurants - and take us there, too!
The roof-top bar was amazing, watching the firework displays on 4 July, the staff didn't pester us to buy drinks.
The room, in the main part of the hotel, was beautiful and spotless - a little compact, but it was a cheaper room; and we had a view of the terrace and garden.
Breakfast was excellent. It was just what we would want, fruit, cottage cheese, etc, and we enjoyed eating outside in the shade. Can't wait to return- would take a detour to stay here again!

We absolutely loved staying at Hotel Parq Central. The service goes above and beyond even the Ritz Carlton. Built in 1928 and remodeled in 2010, the hotel has a beautiful, historic exterior and a fresh, modern interior in keeping with the theme of a hospital, honoring the building's historical roots. The designer had great taste and a bit of a sense of humor. I appreciated the small details, like a table in the lounge that was reminiscent of a gurney with an operating table light above it - it was all very tastefully done and not cartoonish. The staff will try to accomodate any request and is very helpful. We stayed in a smaller building, and the staff delivered fresh coffee right to our door in the morning. The rooms are very comfortable and modern, and the bath products smell exquisite. We had a blast at the Apothecary lounge on the roof overlooking the city. The waiters and drinks are great. I also liked the location, right down the street from The University of New Mexico and tons of great restaurants, bars and shops. I've never stayed at a hotel this nice for this low of a price point. I really appreciate the free wifi, fitness room access and breakfast. Most of the nicer hotels charge for these services, but Parq Central goes above and beyond to make everyone feel like an honored guest.

I was so impressed with the beauty of the facility, the lovely landscaping, and bright, comfortable rooms. But it was the warmth and friendliness of the staff that impressed me the most. Just a wonderful experience.

We spent only a single night at this beautifully designed property but we'd consider traveling through Albuquerque again just to have more time there. This former railroad worker hospital has been wonderfully re-imagined and renovated as a top-notch hotel. Everywhere the eye and the body rests is a completely satisfying experience -- and the rooftop lounge is a perfect place to consider the wonders of a New Mexican sunset. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and every person we interacted with was more lovely than the last. Cheers to the owners, management and staff of this unique, inspired hotel.

Room Tip: Choose one of the "cottages" or a suite/room on the side of the hotel opposite the interst...

Stayed at the Parq Central twice during a trip to NM; rooms very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. Great bed and pillows; excellent shower; refrigerator in deluxe king room. Spotless rooms and public areas; is pet-friendly but no signs of negative impacts; very cheerful and helpful staff. Very good complementary continental breakfast; liked the coffee bars in the hallways. Good security with carded access to floors / areas where rooms are located. Rooftop lounge with both indoor and outdoor seating a real plus. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Room Tip: We had rooms on the first and second floors; both were quiet and had good sound proofing in spite of...

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Parq in Albuquerque for three nights. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. As for the property.......first class and clean. Hotel Parq has SOLE, which is hard to find these days.

Room Tip: Rooms to the back are the quietest.

I stayed at the Hotel Parq Central for 3 nights while visiting Albuquerque, using it as a base camp doing a self driven Breaking Bad film location tour. It was in a perfect location for visiting the sights, as a lot of it was reachable on foot (the Cross Roads Motel is across the road!).

I checked in late afternoon and was greeted by the reception team. After a quick and friendly check in i checked out my room. On arrival my first impression of the room was how clean it was, especially for a pet friendly hotel. I'm not the type to get a white glove out but i couldn't find one spec of dust, it was literally spotless. The room was fresh and felt extremely new and modern looking. The bed was extremely comfy and had i some great nights sleep in it, perhaps too comfy as i didn't want to get up in the morning! The bathroom was ultra modern and was equipped with a great shower which i also didn't want to get out of.

Breakfast was included in my room package and was a fabulous layout with everything you needed to get the day going. I've experience quite a hotel breakfasts and wasn't expecting much but i was pleasantly surprised with the choice and quality of what was on offer. Plenty of breads, danishes, oatmeal and fruit etc and plenty of drinks. Theres also a couple of quiches on offer which looked pretty good but i'm not a massive fan of quiche so i passed.

Apart from breakfast i never actually ate at the hotel. I had a look at the food menu but nothing really struck my fancy. The lady on the desk recommended some great places for food that delivered, as i was on my own it wasn't worth dining out. One night i had a pizza delivered, for some reason they delivered two so i offered one to the guys on the front desk which was very gratefully received!

The Hotel itself is situated in a perfect location with some great transport links, although don't head towards old town on foot at night as it seems like the rougher part of town. I made the mistake of walking through it once and i must of been stopped about 6 or 7 times by people asking for money.

The staff of the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful, always greeting you in and out etc. I especially loved the hotel dog who always had her paws on the desk, curiously looking around. On checkout the hotel manager wished me saved travels and opened to door for me which i think was a nice touch.

I had a great few nights at HPC and i wish i would of stayed a few more. The hotel and staff make you feel incredibly welcome and it feels like one big friendly family. Not typical of what most hotels are like these days.

I can't wait to go back
