This place is an oasis in the desert. Lush greenery and fragrant flowers abound. We loved the white peacock and Calvin the orange farm cat. The food was gourmet and beyond delicious. The staff recommended a restaurant for our anniversary dinner that was a home run! All and all I can't say enough about this place. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and quiet, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a very relaxing stay in Albuquerque. The rooms are quite and clean and the setting is fantastic. The staff is extremely attentive with special hosts like Albert the peacock and the geese with their goslings. Highly recommended for families.

On the grounds are wetlands, lavender farming and many beautiful plantings. We spent evenings by sitting outside and having the peacocks calling and other peaceful sounds of the county.

Room Tip: We stayed in M-2 and it was perfect for us. I am not sure that there is such a thing as a bad room h...

It is paradise... We arrived here after a week of RV travelling and felt like reborn in Los Poblanos. We arrived at night and were surprised by this serene setting in the middle of lavender fields, being greeted by an albino ostrich in the tree. Beautiful setting, very friendly and dedicated team ... Out of this world!

The Greely #1 Suite is one of the most pleasant rooms we have stayed in. A sitting room, kitchenette room, bedroom and bathroom suite includes a front porch, private rear patio, fireplace and all around warmth that says you are in a place with character and history. The Greely gardens are right out the front door. We walked all around the farm and the La Quinta meeting place - we wished we could stay much longer. We shopped the farm store, watched the animals and discovered a fellow guest playing the piano in the great hall of La Quinta. Service was warm and efficient. The breakfast choices change every day but fresh food is the order every day - a great breakfast! A great stay in a beautiful north valley setting - the lilacs and wisteria were blooming, the lavender fields were being groomed. A chance to stay in a part of the areas history and culture, we will be back.

The entire experience was a delight for the senses. The Historical Inn features unique architecture and gorgeous courtyards. I will return in the peak of summer to view the Inn in full bloom. The accommodations were superb, I stayed in the Gallinero Room and enjoyed a quiet relaxing evening on the patio. The room had a complete kitchenette, queen size bed, and a welcoming walk in shower.
I missed dinner reservations but after a great night sleep I was able to enjoy a delectable breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee & of course Eber Skebers (danish pancake balls) with a fresh fruit syrup. The meal was prepared with care by the on staff chef and served by the friendly and knowledgeable wait team.
The organic farm and Farm Shop are a real treat. The farm produces lavender for its various lavender infused products available at the farm shop. The farm keeps bees for pollination and the Farm Shop features honey and honey related products.
A real gem nestled away from the city. Bring your camera and the whole family!

Room Tip: Gallinero Room

On a recent trip to scope out the city of ABQ and its surroundings, we were booked for two nights at this fabulous little gem.

After a long day of airport connections and shuffling around with other passengers, it was nothing less than an oasis for these two weary travelers. The attendant who checked us in and escorted us on a brief tour ending with our room explained that we could request more wood for the adorable kiva fireplace in our room, Meem 2. After getting a fire going and a bottle of wine opened, we immediately realized we'd need more wood, which was delivered with haste.

Breakfast was excellent. A choice of two offerings, each complete with fruit and a tasty pastry.

The room was mostly clean, totally full of charm, and very quiet.

For a romantic night away, this place will surely never disappoint.

Room Tip: Kiva fireplace. Enough said.

Over many years and numerous trips to Albuquerque, we decided to try staying at a bed and breakfast and discovered Los Poblanos on this website. We often drove on Rio Grande and knew that this was a quiet area; major east-west thoroughfares even do not have interchanges on Rio Grande. The driveway lined by towering cottonwood trees set the stage as we entered the property. The clerk at the desk was most friendly and accompanied us to our room to be certain that everything was in order and that we were satisfied. Of course, everything was. We reserved an historic room, Meem 1. The room was spacious, offering a king bed, working fireplace which we used, wet bar, and bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. The room was tastefully decorated and furnished. Thankfully, we did not suffer northern New Mexico kitsch.

The location was quiet and seemed rural even though it is located in a an urban area. It is very easy to drive to any location in Albuquerque from Los Poblanos. The spectacular Sandia Mountains set the background to the east of the property. Traffic was not noticeable at Los Poblanos is located a distance off of Rio Grande. The night offered absolute silence.

Room rates included a delicious and substantial breakfast which began with scones and fruit. We selected the chilaquiles which were absolutely delicious, eggs perfectly prepared. We were unable to eat dinner at Los Miriendes, the restaurant, because of how we scheduled our stay. Wait staff were most attentive and courteous.

We hope to return to Los Poblanos during the growing season. We recommend Los Poblanos without hesitation.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the historic building.
