“An Excellent Car Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 January 2012

If you like auto racing or classic cars, be sure to stop by this museum. Four time Indy 500 winner, Al Unser has put together a wonderful collection of racing vehicles, plus an addition of his own classic car collection. He often stops by the museum, so you might even get to chat with him. The morning that we were there I came by and visited with us for 20 or 30 minutes. My husband is a huge race fan and has raced and restored several different cars.

You can even sit in an Indy Car that is displayed in the parking lot. Getting into and out of it is another story.

“You dont have to be a Motor Racing fan to enjoy this.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 January 2012

I have a passing interest in Motor Racing but am far from being a fan. However I enjoyed an afternoon looking at this museum. It is an history of the Unser racing family with plenty of Cars . From Hill racing to Indy and Nascar. In another adjoining museum there are restored cars from earlier times.

Our guide was friendly and after showing us around initially left us to browse around the museum at our own pace and allowed us to take loads of photos.

A bonus was meeting Al Unser Snr who was generous with his time and willing to ask any questions.

“Unser Racing Museum is a MUST see in Albuquerque!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

The Unser Museum is both a technology story, a family profile, and an event chronicle. Displays focus on racing from Pikes Peak Hill Climb to Indianapolis. The Unser family is steeped in racing history since the early 1900's. Visitors will see everything racing from snow machines to Bonneville Salt racers. There are displays that everyone in the family will enjoy from kids to Moms to the guys. They also have a banquet facility for reunions, parties, etc. and a gift shop for racing memorabilia.

“Very nice Racing Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2011

This is an auto racing museum created by 4 time Indy 500 winner Al Unser. Al's brother Bobby, and son Al Jr., are also famous auto racers.

It has all sorts of cars and autoracing things from the Unser's history. A guide will take you around and show you the museum and explain exhibits, and then you can browse on your own.

I love autoracing, my wife tolerates my enjoyment of it...but she enjoyed this museum, and was still looking at things when it was time to leave.

Really a nice little museum, especially if you are fans of the Unsers or auto racing. I was pleasantly surprised.
